I will pick three in each category.

What is this?
A group to motivate us bc motivating us can be hard sometimes
and help us learn stuff
yeah u get it
School just really sucks cause they take this wonderful concept of learning and discovering new things and just completely ruin it with the atmosphere of judgement and suppression of creativity and strict deadlines and basing your intelligence on a letter and wow you ruined it nice job
Let’s face it- even the most motivated and disciplined students can’t study for a couple of hours straight- we all need to rest. Taking a break from studying every now and then will improve your focus and attention. Below are some of our ideas what to do during study breaks. We divided them into categories depending on the length of your break. Feel free to try them out to later get back to your books refreshed and motivated!
5-10 minutes
Get some fresh air (either go outside, or simply stand up and go to the nearest window- don’t focus on anything and just breathe)
Leave your room/desk and go for a little walk
Throw yourself a little dance party (Cristina and Meredith did it and trust us, it works- put on some energising music and dace for a song or two)
Stand up and stretch!
10-20 minutes
Make yourself a proper, healthy snack (cut an apple into slices and put peanut butter on every slice or make yourself a healthy smoothie)
Watch a TedTalk on a completely unrelated topic (it will both relax you and still keep your brain working)
Do a little yoga (there are multiple mini-routines on youtube)
Browse the #studyblr tag (or maybe post your own photo with it!)
Take a quick shower (if you have a real study marathon ahead of you, a shower break can be a great way to get energised)
20-40 minutes
Call a friend
Clean your room (sounds pretty boring, but you’ll feel refreshed and super-productive once you’re done- and you won’t have to do this later!)
Take a nap (but really, try not to make it longer than 40 minutes)
Watch ONE episode of Friends (nothing better than a good laugh, right?)
40-60 minutes
Workout (go for a 30-minute run or find a workout video on youtube- you’ll end up energised and full of endorphins, which will help you to keep going)
Try a new recipe and make yourself dinner for later
Read a chapter of a book you’re currently reading (if you’re not reading any- start a book)

1/6/2015 - my first post as a studyblr! starting my morning with a big bowl of vegan oatmeal and goodness, going to start viewing my maths summer homework and hopefully start my bullet journal today (if I can find a spare notebook)!
NOT ENOUGH stuff is happening on my dash now that I finally have time to check it everyday, so please REBLOG this post and I’m gonna follow you! <3
If you’re anything like me, this summer break has obliterated your ability to focus for long periods of time.
I have become so bad at concentrating that I can’t even spend 30 minutes reading the weekly publication I subscribe to.
So how do we go about combating this?
Practise.
Sit down with your work, or if you have none sit down with a nonfiction book or article.
Set a timer for 15 minutes. Most of us can still manage just 15 minutes but don’t be afraid to scale it back to 10 if you can’t.
Read for those 15 minutes and try to only pay attention to your work during that time. Know that soon you will have a break and you can check Facebook, Tumblr etc then. Reading in a quiet place will help.
When the timer goes off, take a 5 to 10 minute break to stretch your legs, grab a drink, check social media or whatever you like to do.
Then repeat the process.
Every few days add an extra 5 minutes to your work time.
Your concentration is a little like a muscle - it takes ‘exercise’ to make it stronger but in this case, your workout is mental.
Within a few weeks your focus will be as good as, if not better than, it was before.
For many of you school starts in about a week. You can make a lot of progress in that time so get to it and you’ll be glad of the results when the time comes to revise for exams!
Waddup my name is Charlie, im 21, and i never fucking learned how to study.
