Matakara's sad face when Arajin said "we're not friends"......
Ok listen. I know what Mahoro did in the latest episode to both Matakara and Arajin (esp my sunshine boy Matakara 😠) is straight up nasty. Outright ignoring the former when she was confronted for her subtle manipulative tactics and refusing to give her answer and being downright ignorant of Arajin’s feelings and slapping him when he tried to back out.
But at the same time, I can’t bring myself to hate her despite her shitty behaviour in today’s episode, cause from what I see, she is just a morally selfish girl. Not evil like what the NG Boys are building up to be in the later episodes, just horribly selfish when it comes to her brother.
Which made me curious. Does she and Marito have any living relatives? Was Marito her only support since childhood and when he started to get into gang fights, started to ignore her? Why does she go out of her way to make herself look cute and pretend to care for the guy all just so that said guy can take over Siguma and bring her brother back to her?
I think there is a lot of potential with Mahoro’s character and why she acts selfish when it comes to her brother’s attention.
Hopefully, by future episodes, we get to find out soon enough.
DID SOMEONE SAY BUCCHIGIRI GENDERBENDS 🔥🔥💪
first batch! had some much fun designing all these even though some of them don’t look too different 😭 some of these were difficult to do since imo bucchigiri would be chock full of butches n some of the designs were already androgynous (i.e. hagure) but anyways…
extra notes: matakara had a long skirt originally but it didn’t make sense w his fighting style. arajin has a qipao and shorts bc I liked his gym uniform. jabashiri has a half skirt and hagure has a skirt. I kept the male uniforms since the black breaks up the colours well + gangs have different uniforms.
nothing beats being into something with a really small fandom because you'll get like 7 notes on a post and it's like WOAHHH THE GANG'S ALL HERE ‼️‼️
bucchigiri is so funny bc like. arajin is a pretty flawed teen put into the wildest dystopic school of battle-hungry pretty boys who answer to no authority. if arajin were even the slightest bit interested in men he might actually play along with the premise of the show. he's drowning in a harem of eligible bachelors dying to fight him while simultaneously being given the main character powers needed to fight back, but he doesn't want ANY of it. arajin is actively nerfed by his heterosexuality.
My thoughts on bucchigiri are IM GETTING BAITED IM GETTING BAITED IM GETTING BAITED IM GETTING BAITED IM GETTING BAITED IM GETTING
We’re doing another one chat, I have more to share

Talking more on the theme of delusion, Matakara relies on it as an escape from his sensitive emotional nature. Since childhood he's been susceptable to these dark thoughts, which his brother (and presumably kid Arajin) helped him deal with. Now, without his brother, the ideal of Arajin he cultivated since childhood, the one who believed in becoming a Honki person with him, is the main thing able to distract him from his painful reality. He was writing a letter to his brother the first time one of the shadows appeared in the series and he proceeded to pick up the stone stamp in order to calm himself. After Arajin rebuffed him when he asked him to call off the gang war, other shadows appeared and he needed to rely on the connection with his brother in order to find strength and later appeal to Mahoro. As he is now, he needs some kind of ideal or delusion to be able to keep functioning.
