Calling it right now, Jasmine is an actual cat and that’s the funny twist in the final episode
I think I should start gatekeeping these two from the BUCCHIGIRI?! Twitter/X space cause the way they acted towards two flawed teenagers is just horrendous.
LOOK AT HIM!!! Someone is 100% gonna cosplay his ass and it's gonna be so early 2000s core.
yes yes yes you get it! I also think Ichiya has some sort of mind control thing going on. I think that's why the NG boys are like that. Or maybe it's not a specific power, but that's Akutaro's wish?
Also, I feel like a lot of the anons you're getting are not fully understanding Arajin's character or purpose in the narrative. More fundamentally, I think they're misunderstanding shame as a motivator. Like saying, "if he's so ashamed of himself he should be trying to get stronger" is such a misrepresentation of how shame works. You don't run towards the problem and try to overcome it you run away from it. To overcome something you have to reject that shame and believe in yourself in spite if it. You have to let go of shame to even be able to look at the problem head on. Arajin wouldn't want to get stronger (the desire that led to his trauma in the first place, by the way) because he doesn't believe that he can, and he's too ashamed to try.
I also have the theory that Arajin won't be forced to change until something happens to Matakara, like whatever is being teased in the intro.
Yeah. I’m kind of had a headcanon that Ichiya has some sort of magical ability that makes Akutaro keeps the rest of the grunts in line.
Also yes to Arajin cuz that’s what I’m feeling his character development is going to revolve around and what has been teased in the OP.
if bucchigiri has arajin say something like "10 years from now, I see us eating gyoza together" i think i will explode
WHAT
...arajin is basically a reverse utena.
as a child utena loses all hope, but when she fails to save young anthy she vows to become a prince so she'll have the power to save her. after their meeting utena also forgets that anthy was her motivation for wanting to be a prince in the first place, only seeing her in a dream near the end of the series. meanwhile as a child arajin vows to become a honki person, but after being unable to save young matakara he loses all hope and abandons his dream. he tries to forget matakara but is constantly haunted by the memory of him, both in nightmares and whenever he sees someone he feels too weak to save in danger. they both draw power from spirits that follow them, to varying levels of seriousness. they both wear masks of masculinity, but utena wears hers to chase her past while arajin wears his to escape his past. utena is constantly chased by men who want to use her while arajin enthusiastically chases a girl who uses him. ara-chan and utena-sama. am i making any sense.
oh my god is this gonna be a thing where it’s revealed that ichiya turned on senya out of guilt for being unable to protect him at one point in the past and 2 billion lightbulbs go off in arajin’s head
it/they- real nyanbinary madness- hey! i'm mew. i ramble a lot about my interests. welcome to headcanon hell- doodle dump galore- multifandom
