I swear on Janna I'm not abandoning Low Lays the Devil in Me, but I have to write a CaitVi one shot inspired by this. I'm already 3000 words into it and it really only will a one shot. Think of it as like a little balm to the angst in Low Lays the Devil 😂😂

“The tether. It doesn’t like those crystals,” Caitlyn explained, taking in a stuttered breath. “It’s afraid of them.” All three scientists gave each other a questioning look before Jayce turned to Vi and Caitlyn. “The Arcane can’t feel,” he said slowly. “It’s a natural phenomenon. Like rain or an earthquake. It has no emotions.” “Tell that to the thing in my chest that’s scared, because it sure as shit ain’t me that’s afraid,” Vi said with a frown, annoyed that this scientist refuted them when he wasn’t the one experiencing it. Viktor walked over to the chest and picked up a crystal, then held it out to the tether. The white blue light grew brighter, almost blinding, and the fear became stronger. The need to escape from the room was almost uncontrollable as Vi felt a burning sensation behind her eyes. “Please, stop! It’s afraid of it,” Caitlyn cried out, tears in her eyes.

I'm about halfway through the first chapter of "Heart Made of Glass" sequel and I am just so excited! It's way better than the first chapter of the first fic, imo, and I hope you guys like it!!

Bad news, I think I have a little bug and had to miss work. The good news is that I will be able to finish the first chapter of the Pirate AU tonight. I just have to edit it as well as the prologue, and I'll post it in just a little bit!

Caitlyn turned to give the woman a hard stare. “Miss Veraza, I cannot in good conscience lead you through there. If the Sons find out that a Chembaron walked through their territory—” “Then we better not let any of them see me,” Corina interrupted with a smirk. Caitlyn felt her chest grow so tight she almost couldn’t breathe. Corina had no mask and only had a hood to disguise herself. If anyone recognized her… No witnesses, Caitlyn thought as what Corina was telling her filled her with a cold horror.

I’m going to be honest, I was worried I was starting to lose steam/inspiration for “Low Lays the Devil in Me.” It’s probably why I focused on writing “Tethered” for a few chapters. But I forced myself to just take ch. 16 a paragraph at a time on my phone for the last week and then forced myself to sit at my computer yesterday and finish the chapter.

Turns out forcing yourself to write even when you’re not inspired works. I’m now extra excited to keep working on it 🤣

GimmeTheFeels lived up to their name in a wonderful gifted fic to me centered on my OC Emir from “Heart Made of Glass.” You’d need to read my fic to fully appreciate it, but he is the Kiramman’s butler and I loved his relationship with Vi so much. I am honored he captured people’s affection to the point that one of you wrote a fic about him 😭

Promise I’m not forgetting about Low Lays the Devil in Me. I just feel bad for the people who liked the previous version of Tethered that I abandoned, so I’m trying to make up for it! I’ll get back to our little spy fic soon!

Almost forgot I have dnd prep to do for my session tomorrow night, but I also have writing I want to get done for work. So my prep consists of 6 sentences, one of them reminding me what time of day it currently is for my players. The chokehold these fics have on me is unreal lolol

I love the Zaun art I found on the LoL wiki when looking up information to write my fic. It's such a fascinating place and while I loved what Arcane created for Zaun, these photos make it seem like so much bigger! Decided to share just because this art is so incredible that I needed to nerd out about how inspiring it is for my fic.

This is what I imagine the Rising Howl, the elevator that goes from Topside to the Fissures.

Amazing view of how sprawling and massive Zaun actually is (that's Piltover all the way up top)! So much to work with!

The Boundary Markets from below. In the bottom left-middle, you can see what I've placed the Rising Howl on its cable being lowered into the depths of Entresol (unsure if that's actually the Rising Howl).

View of what I've decided is the mid-levels of Entresol. Not sure if I'm understanding the actual LoL canon layout of Zaun, so I've just filled in what I've read with my own ideas. Entresol is the name of the fissure that Vi and family lives in with the Lanes being second the last level.

View of how the Sun Gates connect two different oceans. I interpret it as a much steeper, more complicated version of the Panama Canal.

All the levels of Entresol. It's so vibrant and alive and diverse in comparison to Piltover. I love the dichotomy of these two cities so much.
