フルートを習ったことのある人なら、誰でもケーラーの練習曲を練習したことがあると言っても過言ではないほど有名な人ですが、曲の演奏機会はそれほど恵まれていないように思います。子守唄などは比較的演奏されているみたいですが。　第3楽章と第4楽章のメロディーの中にヨーデルのモチーフが大量に含まれております。　これは当時の世相を反映したもので、動画内で説明しておりますので見てください。 Koehler is a very famous flute learner. この3重奏のソナタは6曲構成でこの曲はその第4番にあたります。

ニ短調と言うフラウトトラヴェルソにとっては吹きにくい調で書かれております。

現代の楽器では調による音色の変化はほとんどありませんが、このフラウトトラヴェルソは吹きにくい音においては音色がくすむので 、曲の雰囲気に合わせて調を選んでたようです 。　例えば明るく躍動的な曲は何長調で、 ちょっとミステリアスな雰囲気を出したければニ短調やヘ長調などを使います 。
