Spencer Finch - 366, Emily Dickinson’s Miraculous Year (2009)
This work is based on Emily Dickinson in 1862, when she wrote 366 poems in 365 days. It is a real-time memorial to that year, which burns for exactly one year. The sculpture is comprised of 366 individual candles arranged in a linear sequence, each of which burns for 24 hours. The colour of each candle matches a colour mentioned in the corresponding poem. For the poems in which no colour is mentioned, the candles are made out of natural paraffin.

Sun in Scorpio
You are meant to go through a massive transformation of your personality. Often Scorpios go through all-or-nothing periods. Your level of energy is going to be tested all the time. That is why some astrologers say that Scorpio Suns are prone to depression. Sun is our general energy so being in a transformative sign Scorpio it goes through periods of highs and lows. You are meant to know deeply about your own personality and self-expression. All your talents will be the tools to investigate your dark sides. You have to accept your authentic self. Yes, sometimes Scorpio Sun may not be easy but transformative experiences will help you to gain wisdom and insight.
Moon in Scorpio
This placement is the hardest among all personal planets in Scorpio. You are meant to go through emotional transformations all the time. Your emotions and feelings are deep but most of the time you don’t show it. All the tension is inside you and nobody can fully understand what you feel. Transformative experiences of Scorpio Moon are going to help you to become wise, insightful, spiritual, and perceptive. You feel people and see who they truly are. You can’t explain it with words because Moon is our subconscious but you just feel and know. You see what people hide behind their masks. Scorpio Moon often gives anxiety disorders and problems with sleeping because the Scorpio sign is controlling and intense but the essence of Moon is too soft and sensitive for that.
Mercury in Scorpio
First of all, it may be the case that you had problems with communication in your childhood. Other children could not understand you and your ideas. Scorpio Mercury not only transforms our way of communication throughout life but also our ability to dig deep into our souls and find the right words to explain the truth. It is necessary because something needs to be brought to the surface to live it through. You are going to go through transformations of ideas and creativity. You are meant to know how deep and insightful they can be. People with Mercury in Scorpio are incredibly intelligent. They can dig deep into the topic and learn new things in detail. These folks are great detectives. They see little details and notice them to use in the future.
Venus in Scorpio
Of course, love life, material possessions, values, and self-esteem are going to be transformed. Scorpio Venus people often have low self-esteem and they need to go through a lot of changes to understand their worth. Your values will be transforming and becoming deeper and more meaningful throughout life. Scorpio Venus people often attract problematic or toxic partners because they want to transform and heal them but they need to understand that the first person to save are themselves. You may have a difficult relationship with money. The most important thing to do for Scorpio Venus folks is to accept and love themselves. Healthy self-esteem is the key to success and true love.
Mars in Scorpio
Here we go — all-or-nothing attitude. When you love something, you are extremely passionate about it and nothing can stop you. However, Scorpio energy is transformative and your ability to act and make decisions in life is going to be transformed. You are going to have highs and lows throughout life, and your level of energy and motivation is going to change a lot. This is meant to make you invest your energy into exploring your soul and every part of it — good and bad. You are meant to dig deep into your traumas and unhealed wounds to find ways to heal them. You will help a lot of people with their healing journey even with your example. Your wisdom and insight can help others a lot.
