It can strive her to do better things and work hard especially for her family. But then she gets married and if she's traditional that masculine role eventually shifts over to her husband. But there are things that happen and make women hold on to that masculine role.

Giving birth and instead of helping, your husband decides to play video games. You're struggling with the kids and instead of helping your husband continues sleep on. You need groceries but your husband needs a list and not a normal list, a list of where every single item is in the store. You need to go on a trip but you can't even leave outside of the house for a single day without everything falling apart because her husband doesn't even know your child's routine.

Incompetence. Neglectfulness. Then the expectation to be a sex machine after the day is done. Situations like these are what causes a woman to stay in her masculine and not let her husband take the lead. Why?
