"बच्चों को शिक्षा अवश्य दिलानी चाहिए" कबीर, मात पिता सो शत्रु हैं, बाल पढ़ावैं नाहिं। हंसन में बगुला यथा, तथा अनपढ़ सो पंडित माहीं।। भावार्थ:- जो माता-पिता अपने बच्चों को पढ़ाते नहीं, वे अपने बच्चों के शत्रु हैं। अशिक्षित व्यक्ति शिक्षित व्यक्तियों में ऐसा होता है जैसे हंस पक्षियों में बगुला। यहाँ पढ़ाने का तात्पर्य धार्मिक ज्ञान कराने से है, सत्संग आदि सुनने से है।
