Okay, this is something I've been thinking about for a while. There are many who talk about the opportunities that Marinette and the class gave Chloe, and how they really shouldn't have even been given them since she bullied them, that she is a bad person, that she caused serious troubles and blah, blah, blah..

(I must admit that I don't really mind the bad things she does since I feel a great apathy towards much of the cast, which I find very robotic, irritating and pointless. Even my favorites, Nathaniel and Kagami, became part of that amalgam. So Chloe can burn down all of France and I will continue to support her).

But what I want to get at is something else, and that is; Are they really important if you want to make a arc for Chloe? (whether for better or worse). I mean, it's not like the decision to "give her a chance or not" totally influences his life as it is, as if school and class are everything.

But this is obviously not the case, Chloe is rich and has high status, she did ballet for years and rubs shoulders with important people. Should she really care about people that she will not see again after the end of the school year and who are not important in her life? (beyond Sabrina and Adrien, but I'll talk about them later).

You don't need them or Marinette if you really want to write an arc. Chloe may have other "friends", rivals or enemies in any other area. Even someone completely new to turn her life upside down!

Whether as a heroine or a villain, it wasn't that difficult to use the screen time they invested in her and silly plots (Chloe Mayor) for a serious development about Chloe (or shorten and advance the final conflict of the story).
