BUT i can't help but feel as though The Legendborn Cycle is going to end up with Bree & Sel.
Like we are introduced to Erebus in BM, who is set to be an important player in both Bree & Sel's life. Erebus watched Sel grow up, and in the early pages of BM is hinted that he holds a form fondness, almost fatherly toawrds Sel. With Bree, well he is the one that her ancestor made the curse to to protect her bloodline. In the beginning, Erebus tried to separate Bree/sel by placing charges on them, & the whole time he was chasing him he tried to get Bree to leave him and see him as a monster. I feel like erebus knows something that we the audience doesn't when it comes them. like why he is so scared and so determined to keep them separated?
Nick/bree i don't see happening? because their entire realtionship is coated with potential betrayal. 1st it was the whole scion of arthur thing -> nick believed himself to be the scion of arthur, but it turns out that is was bree along. 2nd, bree is starting/has started to fall for sel, who is a merlin and LB & the BM exclusive story made clear that nick has deep hatred for not only arthur but merlins as well. 3rd, i think the erebus was the one who mesmered nick's mom, and bree just made a deal w/ this guy to save a merlin's life. not to mention that all of bree/nick's encounters took place on battlefield's, while bree/sel had more domestic moments (the bathroom scene, the meadow scene, them setting the table at volition, him celebrating her bday w/ her) -> if that's not foreshadowing then i don't know what is
a lot of people are hoping for bree/nick/sel but i honeslty do not think that's happening. not only did tracy have sel reiterate twice that he holds no romantic feelings for nick, nick also has not shown any romantic interest in sel at all. but also i sense nick becoming the antagonist/villain arc. he separated himself from them when he had a chance to go w/ them. he says he has a way of taking down the order & i cant help but feel as though this erebus feeding him these ideas (cause in BM exclusive erebus (if it was him) attacked both anna & nick, so maybe he planted a mesmer chip/bond in nick's head) * & if erebus is behind all these events happening, if he did plan all of this w/ bree/nick/sel then why?
finally i feel as though this is a bree/sel story. like yes this BREE'S story, lets not forget that. but the way tracy went out of her way to give sel more depth, like in LB we the sel POV, then in BM we get mostly sel POV from chptr 51. both covers are a mixture of blue & red which are bree/sel color. also, i think bree/sel are bonded -> i think sel has some leftover root (bree describes it as her beinf wrapped around him) in him like alice when they were fighitng erebus in the woods. if sel does have some root in him then i think this will come into play in the next book when they got to rescue him.
so i think if nick's mom makes an appearance in the next book, it will end in her dying. i got an image of the trio going against erebus, he summons nick's mom, he kills her right in front of him & that sends him over the edge. then he turns against bree becuz he probably will blame her for putting them in this position. sel steps in to protect her.
idk, these are just my thoughts. again The Legendborn Cycle is BREE'S story, her journey. i just wanted to come spew my thoughts. who knows what tracy is going to do. let me know what y'all think
A very detailed and long Pac character analysis because he deserves it
(Also, sorry for the English mistakes, they will happen lol)
So, first things first. I'll focus on what happened yesterday, and especially on these two points:
Pac's conversation with Fit about Cell and the way he was feeling after it
Pac's change of mind regarding Cell at the conclusion of the stream
So, I find it fascinating that when Pac was telling Fit about his past with Cell, (besides talking about being pretty afraid), he mostly told him about the mistakes that he committed with Cell, not the opposite. He talked about leaving Cell alone on an island to die, but all he said about Cell's past behavior was that he was "different".
At first, I thought he just didn't want to discuss his trauma and wasn't ready for this conversation yet. I still think this is a part of the reason, but taking Pac's low self-esteem into consideration ... I think this is just one more of these moments where he thinks what happened to him isn't important enough. He really cares about Cellbit, so much so that his mind separates Cellbit and Cell as two different people. So much so that he doesn't want Fit to see Cellbit as a bad person. He thinks that saving Cellbit's reputation and helping him out are much more important than his fear and trauma will ever be.
And his reaction to Roier's plates just proves this. Intentionally or not, someone just broke a boundary of his, someone invaded a place that he built to be safe. And yet, his first thought is that he was in the wrong. He immediately felt bad, and besides still being afraid of Roier allowing Cellbit to enter, he just got rid of his boundary. He thought that Roier's feelings were more important than his fear. Instead of feeling bad because someone invaded his safe space, he felt bad for establishing a limit in the first place. (Obviously, CC Roier was just having some fun, lol).
Also, another interesting point: After Fit told Pac that he would protect him from Cell, Pac's first reaction was to wish that Cell actually hurt him, just to see Fit's reaction. It sounds kind of crazy, right? He's terrified of Cell, and yet he wants to be hurt just so he can be protected. I think this says A LOT about Pac.
He thinks he's so unimportant that the thought of someone caring so much about him —the thought of someone fighting for him— is so crazy, that he wants to actually see it. He wants to be hurt just to see someone worried about him. It's very clear that Mike was that person for Pac. Mike always protected him. Mike never cared if he had to do crazy things if that meant Pac was safe. He killed the federation guards, and he and Pac were this pair that fought together. They worked together, and Mike made Pac feel useful and important. But now, Mike is not here.
And I think that in Pac's mind, this is something that shows how much you actually care for someone. Seeing Fit actually do that just proves that he cares about him. That he is important to someone.
Now, the second point:
After this conversation, (and Roier's plates), Pac says that he's not scared anymore. That Fit will protect him in case anything happens, and that he should help Cellbit. They are a family, and Roier reminded him of that. He should just let go of his fear and concentrate on helping Cellbit. (Sorry if there's something incorrect, that's just what I remember.)
I mean, this sounds nice and all, I saw a lot of people really happy about it, but ... I think it's actually pretty sad. This just shows how much Pac disregards his own well-being. He still thinks that there's a possibility that Cell will hurt him, but that's okay because at least someone will care. He still thinks he should help Cellbit in the first place, not because he has to fight his fear or because the past still haunts him. Still because, Cellbit, his family, is more important than anything he feels. His fear, his trauma, and his wish to be safe aren't more important than Cellbit.
He again puts himself in this self-sacrifice job. He should sacrifice his well-being for Cellbit; he should sacrifice his safety for forever; he should sacrifice his security for Roier. Because they are more important than him.
I think Pac helping Cellbit is good, but the way he is going about it isn't. He clearly needs to focus on himself now. He needs to put his health first, and Cellbit would absolutely respect that. Still, he just won't, because he thinks it's his job to sacrifice himself for others, and honestly, one day this will end badly. He won't be able to help Cellbit if he doesn't help himself first, and this won't happen so soon.
If he keeps doing this to himself, there will be consequences, maybe permanent ones. I mean, he literally just jumped on the nether, and we have no idea what he will find.
Although sounding heroic, everything about Pac right now is extremely worrying. It just keeps getting worse. And I have a terrible feeling about how all of this will affect him in the future.
Pac is one of the best fighters on the server, but his low self-esteem just keeps him from becoming anything other than the Guinea Pig. Especially now that Mike is gone. Maybe that's why staying with Fit is so comfortable for him. He doesn't need to sacrifice anything, which is similar to his relationship with Mike. They fight for each other, and that's it.
Anyway, that's it, I think. I hope I was able to express myself. English isn't my first language, so writing all that was pretty hard, kkkk. You are free to disagree, and discuss if you want <3
(disclaimer: I'm not fluent in Portuguese so I may have missed or misunderstood something but this is what I gathered)
It's going to be a "survival and RP" series - there's also going to be enigmas and mysteries, but it's also going to have regular Minecraft gameplay like building houses and such
The "first season" of the series will begin very soon ("not like, next week, but soon")
Pac wanted a studio for the series so he, Batista, Tayr, Himaru, and Guhzera made one - Boiss Studios. They've been working on the project for a couple of months now
They have a team of programmers, artists, and actors(!) for the server
There'll be new mods that we haven't seen in Minecraft yet, they're being made specifically for the series
It's going to be a completely original story
There's going to be 20 participants total! So far people who have been revealed (via Twitter here and here) are Meiaum, Bagi, GabiPeixe, Guaxinim, Maethe, Choke, Matt, Felps, Pac, and Coreano.
Pac emphasised that "for now" there's only going to be people who speak Portuguese in the series, which made a lot of people in chat wonder if there's gonna be Portugal-Portuguese speakers there, but he didn't say anything else. He also trailed off mysteriously about the "for now" part
Pac said he'd be streaming basically every day. the people are doubtful of this but who knows
There will be "probably weekly" events, maybe some related to specific dates as well
Regarding the story: There's a city called Valigma and it has a mayor named J. The mayor has a Twitter account and "he's very suspicious honestly". He wants to recruit "experts" for their talents, for a purpose that is currently unknown
"What talent does Pac cubito have? I don't know, we'll have to find out."
(paraphrased) "If you're upset that your streamer isn't participating: Who knows, maybe there'll be an event in the future and they'll appear, who knows."
There'll be one central story but every member can create their own story as well
There won't be subtitles like there was with the Qlobal Translator in QSMP because that mod was made for QSMP specifically. Maybe other people will have the Twitch subtitle extension like Pac does, but there won't be anything in-game
It's a mainly stream-focused SMP, and people can make stream highlights if they want. Pac said there'd probably be things posted on his own clips channel
There'll be an official Arkanis Twitch channel that'll "go live sometimes"
"Is Pac on Arkanis going to be the same Pac cubito as in other universes? I don't know! It's possible!"
It's been a very cool thing for Pac to be part of the team working on it, he's very excited and hopes people will enjoy it
It's called Arkanis from Latin "arcanus" meaning "mysterious"
There might be a fanart museum like in QSMP
and then he ended stream. I may have missed or misheard something so if anyone else wants to add on feel free but that's the general gist I got!
No one can convince me that Ross and Bucky fight over being the favorite colonizer nickname. I just feel it in my soul that they always try and on up each other to win at being the favorite colonizer.
This is gonna be a weird headcanon/theory but in the eternals we know how some of the characters were referred as Greek gods because through out history the people who lived in Greece saw them and made the religion around them.
Thena is Athena Goddess of War.
Ikaris the boy who flew to close to the sun, I wouldn’t be surprised if people though he was Zeus too.
Phatos low key sounds like Hephaestus.
This low key got me thinking, what where Makkari and Druig saw as. Then it clicked, Druig probably wasn’t around humans a lot and he was always wearing black and always brooding by himself. People most definitely saw him as Hades.
Makkari was probably seen as Persephone. She is known for being super kind and patient. The only time we see her genuinely mad was when she thought Ikaris killed Druig. But I wonder how people saw Makkari and Druigs relationship if they were related to those gods.
It’s dumb but it would be interesting
How are you, a complete stranger going to come on my post and tell me that I’m trivialising a black woman’s pain over a lighthearted joke that Shuri “won by having the hottest bf”?? Additionally, why do you think because I’m enjoying the nuanced connection Shuri and Namor shared I’m somehow trivialising her pain??
Firstly, let me set you lot who like to go on people’s posts and be unnecessarily rude without knowing the facts straight— I’m black (with mixed heritage as I’m from the Caribbean) and I’m very aware of the pain Shuri experienced as a black woman who’s also navigated complicated grief myself, and I’ve made several posts analysing this at length, let’s start there. Second of all, Namor is also a character of colour and he too experienced pain and grief which is what fuelled ALL of his actions. He is NOT a villain, he’s an antagonist, and yall who are painting him as a villain because you claim “he killed Ramonda!!!!!” clearly need to rewatch the movie because what you’re doing is marginalising indigenous voices and their historical trauma by solely vilifying him. Namor didn’t overtly kill Ramonda, he had a role in her death yes, but ultimately Ramonda made a choice to save Riri vs her own life. Erik very explicitly tells Shuri not to minimise her mother’s sacrifice, because that’s what it was, a sacrifice. Namor and Shuri both add to each other’s pain whether directly or indirectly throughout the movie. They’re both flawed characters, neither is better than the other and that was the point you lot are missing — their journeys and experiences mirror and parallel each other. Whenever two characters of colour are contrasted and oppose each other, some of you very clearly show your true colours and how singleminded and problematic you can be and it’s gross.
One of the major themes of this movie was that the enemy is never fellow marginalised groups, it’s colonialism — more specifically neo-colonialism and how it pits us as people of colour against each other, blinding us to the exploitation of our resources and people. If your key takeaway from this movie was to vilify Namor and infantilise Shuri reducing her only to a pained and grieving character, congratulations you missed the whole f*cking point of the movie. Good for you 🙂. Here’s a 🍪 for being vapid.
But let me make something abundantly clear, just because people are shipping a couple doesn’t mean they’re not also making analyses of how the coupling can be or is dysfunctional. Many namuri shippers have pointed out where Namor and Shuri (paired together) are flawed and how their pain and grief fuelled/debilitated them. Also, know your f*cking place and don’t come at people you don’t know so disrespectfully. Proximity is a hell of a thing and a lot of you forget you’re literally strangers on the internet and attack people without knowing the facts.
Don’t ever think you can come on MY page or respond to MY posts being disrespectful and not get blocked. My block button stays hot and ready. Who do some of you think you are lmao???
Hello sorry to bother you with this all of sudden ,and this might be coming out of nowhere, and I’m not trying to force you or be pushy but I m trying to get more people into this show with great potential. If your not interested it’s fine but Have you heard of or watched moon girl and devil dinosaur? Season 2 comes out February 2.
The main character i love she gives me autistic vibes I’m autistic. The show has interesting characters, action ,great music, and animation ,good themes and representation, Anime references, it even has an eyecatch season 2 is going to be more story driven if you find that interesting.
It be good if you watch the first 2 season 2 episode when they air so the ratings will be higher. And watch the other season 2 episodes when they air.
I think Disney might be trying to sabotage the show with them probably dropping 14 episodes on Disney + on February 3. They did similar with season 1 and the ratings where low ,please watch season 2 episodes when they air on. But more importantly also watch it on Disney + on feb 3 and when they air it on YouTube. Unfortunately they are dropping 14 episodes on Disney + so watch them all in one day but also when they air the first time.
I’m not just saying only cable just also. I’m saying please support this show. Despite that it still won 5 Emmys. Also if it’s no trouble could if it alright with you spread the word about this show to others you know like either online or irl. Time is limited!
One thing that kills me about house of the dragon is that Rhaenyra, Rheanys, Corlys, and Leanor are all trying to convince us that Jacaerys and Lucerys are black. That shit is so funny to me, it’s so funny to me. It’s giving that one clip from that one movie
Alicent: who’s goddamn white baby is this?
Rhaenyra: what do you mean he’s just light skinned.
Rhaenyra is right tho, they’re light skinned and Alicent is slandering her. Team black forever!!!
He’d light that server up
(I laughed don’t worry)
WAITT.. that would lowkey be fire actually!!
get it? Bc he’s FLAMEfrags HAHAHAHAH!!!!
(Pls laugh)
"Ramon, kill this mf"
Listen I was feeling pretty neutral towards Foolish up until Fit's little interrogation earlier today. "Well let's see if they've still got it in em." That's INSANE right like I'm not the only one who's jaw hit the floor when that was his response??
Foolish can only claim "just a silly little guy status" for so long. At some point he wanders into malicious neutrality and willful ignorance with the amount he doesn't care about the consequences of his actions and their effects on other islanders. Fit literally looked Foolish in the eyes and told him EXACTLY why Pac and Mike being arrested was such a bad thing and he still. didn't seem to care.
Anyone who can see this, this artist’s needs help. She’s being attacked by racist people and when she tries to speak out against it she gets silenced. Please help and spread this around. Give her a follow and give your support please. She’s one of my favorite artists and I hate to see her go through this. If you love and support black lives please spread this around so people can see what Instagram and Twitter are doing
Why won’t anyone talk about this?
