Women in Restoration by Isabella De Maddalena

(ENG)  Intensive learning of the cyanotype process with @vera_eikona and @annelou.buzot these last days. Thank you 🤩! I’m so much happy and enthusiastic about this technique straight out of the 19th century. I was able to experience it on two of my photos. There is no doubt about it, it’s an other charm than a digital print! Silhouette lost in the night 🌙 Now I will need a lot of perseverance to assimilate all this knowledge and continue this learning… What do you think? . . If You Are Interested in GLOW

I highly, highly recommend checking out the documentary GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. I stumbled across it a few years ago and really enjoyed it.

It’s currently on Netflix, so if you’ve finished binging the new series inspired by the ladies of 80s wrestling, give the documentary a look and hear from the real women who hopped into the ring… including some of the in-ring personas that were clearly the source material for the characters that made it onscreen like Mountain Fiji (“Machu Picchu”), Colonel Ninotchka (“Zoya the Destroya”),  Americana (“Liberty Belle”), The Housewives (“The Beatdown Biddies”) and more.

Crime and Punishment: coldness of the skin against a blade, slender pale fingers and slightly shaking hands, a red stain blooming on white fabric, lonely steps in a corridor, the slow dripping of water, looking out of the window into the thickening darkness, a single dying candle on the table, listening to one’s breath and counting heartbeats, too many stairs, the desire to be invisible, a subtle memory of kind word
