bill finn's work has truly changed my life. he is by far one of the greatest composers of our time. his ability to so honestly write about the human experience is incredible. he has created so many heartbreakingingly beautiful pieces about love, loss, family, and identity. falsettos has been my favorite musical for years, i truly cherish it and hold it so close to my heart. what bill has done for the queer and theatre community is nothing short of groundbreaking. hearing of his passing has been absolutely devastating. wishing peace to his friends and family. may his memory be a blessing♡

My absolute LEAST FAVORITE falsettos opinion is marvin being physically abusive with whizzer or having hitting Trina before the whole “marvin Hits Trina” song. The main reason I hate the Marvin hitting whizzer headcanon is because it pretty much just kinda disregards what Trina went through when Marvin hit her. Trina did not deserve to be hit, absolutely not, and basically moving the focus to “omg imagine what whizzer went through waaaa 🥺🥺🥺🥺” makes my blood BOILL UGHSHHH. Marvin probably did NOT hit whizzer 😭😭😭 if he had been like that, whizzer probably would’ve just fled the relationship. Whizzer is not stupid. Especially when whizzer make it clear he didn’t see what he had with Marvin as “serious” so if Marvin had been physically abusive whizzer most definitely would’ve left him much sooner. And the headcanon of Marvin hitting Trina more than once is just stupid. You see how Trina reacts to Marvin’s physical outburst. She was shocked. Marvin has regret on his face the second after it happened. And also it is honestly just so obvious it was only when in “marvin Hits Trina”. Please guys seriously.
