Of course as soon as I get enough money to pay for T, my dad has the worst Arthritis flare up he's had in 3 years šš¬ of course ššš
Me and my mom are hauling ass trying to scrape together anything for his meds (bc the hospital only gives him as much as he needs until his next visit) to buy with a private script, but it's not looking like anything much bc we had to buy groceries today,, so if anyone could spare like 30 USD for his meds I'd literally cry in happiness, actually.
He's literally the only one of us who has a job atm and we really can't afford to have him bedridden and in agony rn, besides how emotional and stressful it is.

Me describing sports anime, a series:
Free: Itās about swimming, but really itās about being gay and having a rival
Yuri on Ice: Itās about figure skating, but really itās about being gay and having a mid-life crisis in your 20s
Sk8 the Infinity: Itās about skateboarding, but really itās about being gay and in love with your bestie
Haikyuu: Itās about volleyball, but really itās about⦠volleyball. Itās literally about volleyball. (and also being gay)
I know everyone loves the Corinthian because heās creepy/sucks/fucks etc but Iām into this character because heās a poster boy for conditional acceptance.
Heās created to fulfill one purpose. If he doesnāt contort himself into the correct behaviour, heās scrapped to be remade and remade until he acts as intended.
Morpheus doesnāt seem to have a personal relationship with him like he does with other Dreaming characters. When he kills the Corinthian, Morpheusā āI made you poorlyā speech dismisses that the nightmare is an individual in control of his actions.
Lucienne visibly dislikes him but is quick to forgive Fiddler who also defected. Itās like the Corinthian is treated more like a project or a weapon than an entity of the Dreaming.
I donāt think his ability to attract people affords him any lasting power either. People crave him, his body or his success but itās a self-interested infatuation. People donāt love him for his personality because he doesnāt have one; itās polite and forgettable and adapted to attract whoever heās targeting. He fills the spaces in between peopleās real relationships and while maybe itās fun, ultimately heās forgotten.
And can we talk about the second Corinthian being obsessed with learning about his previous iterations? Thatās fucked up and dystopian.
Heās a really tragic character. Also a horrible violent maniac.
Gun violence is a fucking daily realityĀ for those of us that live with it. I know that we joke about howĀ āAmerica loves its gunsā and how we all have active shooter drills now. But thatā¦shouldnāt be a laughing matter!? This isnāt funny??!! Just a few nights ago, I heard gunshots outside my apartment. And last month or so, I was staying in the lab late at night, and security had to lock down the building because there was an active shooter inside my department building which is normally locked by keycard access at night. I spent 4 hours hiding inside my office until security gave me the all clear to go home.Ā
And the thing is, I still cannot imagine the terror these poor CHILDREN went through. I was so angry about Sandy Hook 10 years ago, and Iām fucking furious now. Because the thing is, thereās a certain sect of people (read: Republicans & the NRA) who are just stonewalling everythingĀ that weāre trying to do to pass sensible gun legislation.Ā
I need to bring 500 different documents to prove my identity to the DMV so I can get a driverās licenseā¦and thatās for a car, whose main function is to get me around places, but has the potential to harm people if handled irresponsibly. And for SOME GODAWFUL REASON we donāt seem to have the same standards for obtaining guns??? WHOSE MAIN FUNCTION IS TO LITERALLY KILL PEOPLE?
Someone explain this to me.
Ferbās birthday is on February 29th (leap year day).

"IS THIS THE DEATH OF ART?" Well art has died before. Art died in both the 1980s and 1940s. Art died in the industrial revolution. Art died when they invented the printing press. Art died when we stopped painting on cave walls. Art died when you, personally, stopped finger painting. You can absolutely be a hater though that's part of it
