It can't be a coincidence that feminism is progressing well in third-world countries and every piece of desi media, especially soap operas with the target audience of housewives, decide to glamorize the role of the "Angel of the House" or "Kudumba Kuthuvizhaku" (light of the house) which is the stereotype of the woman unconditionally putting the needs of her in laws, husband, children and everyone before hers.

They also repeatedly villainize the woman who dresses liberally, and doesn't have the personality of a doormat.

Even worse is the propaganda of the Knight in Shining armor, who comes to the woman's rescue and in whom she should place unconditional trust in. The women around her are jealous, petty, scheming bitches and hence, unworthy of her companionship

It's almost as if this is done intentionally to thwart the class consciousness desi women are slowly forming and reiterate the harmful ideas we've been forced to play for centuries:

You exist to serve your family. You are not valid if you are your own person, only a mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law

If you deviate from the conservative style of clothing/thinking, you're immoral. If you are assertive, selfish, ambitious, and have a backbone, you're the BITCH

Other women exist only to tear you down, they are always plotting your downfall, so put all your faith in the man. He's your hero and protector after all

It's seemingly just drama on the outside, but seems to be a very sinister patriarchal response to feminism on the inside?

The Inheritance Cycle headcanons: Christmas.

• Eragon LOVES Christmas and as soon as December starts, he gets into the cheerful and happy mood of the season. He loves sending meaningful letters and small gifts to his friends. He usually gets a bit nostalgic and sad around Christmas, because being far away from Alagaesia makes him miss his childhood traditions and his friends. He misses Arya the most, but the two of them always see and tenderly talk to each other on Christmas’ Eve.

• every year on Christmas’ Eve, Eragon, Saphira, Glaedr, the Eldunarí and the other young Riders with their dragons spend the night around a big fire watching the stars and sharing stories about the Ancient world.

• Elves are known for not celebrating Christmas, but over the years they have started to change their traditions and shift more into the Christmas spirit. Arya was the first queen who introduced the concept of “Christmas” in the Du Wendelvarden, mainly because of how much Eragon liked it. The Elves were initially skeptical about it, but eventually gave up and got so much into the Christmas spirit that they held the best celebrations. Their favourite tradition was decorating the Menoa Tree (and the whole forest) as Christmas trees, and sometimes they even decorated Fírnen.

• one day on Christmas’ Eve, Murtagh secretly sent Nasuada a message and the two reunited after many years in a plain near Ilirea. They didn’t have a long time to talk, but they were very happy to see each other. This was also the reason why Nasuada kept a joyful and grateful attitude over the season.

• Angela and Solembum usually spend Christmas’ Eve with the Urgals, and the Christmas day itself with Nasuada.

• Murtagh and Thorn once sent Eragon and Saphira a short but affectionate letter wishing them a merry Christmas. It’s useless to say how surprised and happy Eragon and Saphira were.

• Elva used to hate Christmas, but she secretly spends Christmas’ Eve walking in villages and using her powers to make common people happy and to heal them from their fears.

• it may not look like it, but the Urgals are the most devoted to Christmas and they celebrate it by decorating all of their houses and villages.

• to celebrate Christmas properly, Orik helds the biggest event of the year in the capital. All dwarves gather from every corner of the Beor Mountains to join these celebrations.

Meine Reise nach Deutschland

Millionen Menschen in der ganzen Welt reisen gern. Ihre Reisen unternehmen sie gewöhnlich im Urlaub oder in den Ferien. Man kann durch Reisen die Welt besser kennenlernen : neuen Menschen begegnen, sich mit der Geschichte und Kultur anderer Länder bekannt machen und neue Landschaften besichtigen.

Letztes Jahr habe ich mit meiner Austauschpartnerin eine Reise nach Hamburg gemacht.

Die Reise dauerte eine Woche. Hamburg ist eine interessante Stadt! Wir haben uns entschieden, eine Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Fahrrad zu machen. Die Elbphilharmonie, das Miniatur Wunderland, die Kirche Michel waren super. Aber der Hamburger Hafen war unglaublich. Darüber habe ich so viel gelesen.

Wir sind auch nach Köln gefahren, weil unsere Schule ganz Nähe von Köln liegt. Köln war unglaublich. Ich konnte nicht glauben, den Kölner Dom zu sehen. Ich habe darüber meinen ganzen Leben gelernt, und dort stand er: riesig. Unglaublich alt, wie die Stadt selbst. Wir haben dort einen geführten Stadtrundgang gemacht, Kleinigkeiten – aber interessante Dinge – über Köln gelernt und das Schokoladenmuseum besucht: Nicht nur originell, sondern auch lecker!

I haven't written in a ridiculously long time. While some find solace losing themselves in hidden diaries, only for your eyes to read,I, on the other hand have come to fear the blank page. Yet, I am in awe of the kind of experience writing offers. How things that didn't make sense kind of sort of still don't make sense but atleast you had a place to vent,right?

Or how when you finally find the courage to put pen to paper things finally feel better than they seem.
