So you know how Yuuri calls Wolfram Hachimitsu-chan~ or Honey-chan right!? RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!?

So we had a little disagreement on the online event on whether ‘honey’ was bitter tasting or not in Shinma… WELP I can tell you something! NOVEL 4- CHAPTER 7

The sand bear, which looks about five times heavier than Ryan, is leaning its entire body on him.  It’s playfully rubbing him with a clawed paw that looks like it can gouge a heart out.

OMG, OMFG!  Another thing, he calls him is “amaenbosan” 甘えん坊さん or sweet boy/sweet thing. So! Honey has to be sweet in Shinma or Ryan wouldn’t use sweet and honey in the same sentence. Also if I may, and this is for the “amaenbosan” term (compared to the term Honey-chan in the main novels), is used in Japan for both 1) Children who rely on their parents and 2) Doting lovers, wives, husbands.

Yuuram in Novel 5

I’m skipping the gaidens for now and focusing on the arcs. Here starts the Caloria arc (remember they are separated for a while in this one)

… I suppose that’s a bad habit she picked up from Wolfram.

A lavishly furnished chamber was depicted there but there was no one in it.

“What a beautiful person. They look like Wolf,” murmured Greta next to me with a sigh.

“Eh? There’s no one painted there. Do you think that looks like Wolfram, Greta?”

If I had to say, I suppose the legs on the overly ornate table could kind of look like his.

Lord von Bielefeld Wolfram nodded with his blonde hair shining amber in the light of the torch he was holding too close. Greta’s lips press together as she grasps Wolfram’s arm. Gwendal slowly bent his knees and spoke to Greta in a low voice so he wouldn’t be heard by his subordinates who were watching from afar.

“What happened?”

“It’s impossible for a child to explain,” Wolfram said with a despondent expression as he swung the now useless torch around with pointless movements.

“Then who else should I ask?”

“But, for a child-”

“I can tell you,” Greta says decisively, cutting Wolfram off.

Novel 5. ch.2

- Don’t act like me-

“So there’s a possibility that he survived?” Gwendal was surprised at the uncharacteristically deep voice that finally came out of Wolfram’s mouth. It was almost like…(…)

“… It’s Lord Weller’s.” “Which means that’s Conrart’s arm?” Again, his voice was quiet and cool. Noticing that his older brother was giving him a strange look, Wolfram raised his eyebrows and asked, “Brother?” “Don’t act like me.” (…)

After remaining silent for a few breaths, Wolfram began to scream as if a dam had broken. He repeated the names of his most beloved king and his second-oldest brother that he was supposed to have hated, and he cursed the unknown enemy. Without being able to look anyone in the face, he kicked at the walls and candelabras with all his strength. That’s good. At least you should remain emotional. If not, then if in the unlikely event that we lost ‘him,’ then the citizens, the castle, and the country will not withstand it.

“All the more reason for me to ride alone. It’s the fastest way to find out what country the enemy is from and where we need to strike.”

As Wolfram rode away in a manly way completely unlike a spoiled prince, some of the men cheered him on.

They were the ones who bet on Wolfram in His Majesty’s Spec-Oc.

Novel 5. ch.6 - At Ulrike’s-

“Lord von Bielefeld Wolfram! What is the reason for your- Your Excellency!?”

“I have a question for the priestesses. I’m coming in.”(…)

Even though a lady was walking next to him, Wolfram did not even slow his pace. It was for reasons like this that he never quite ended up the object of anyone’s romantic affections. Gisela herself was not looking to be treated as a woman, so in the end they ended up walking shoulder to shoulder at a brisk military pace.(…)

“Do you want money? I can’t meet you unless I have a donation!? If so, I’ve brought some. Name your price!”(…)

“So what’s it going to be, Oracle Priestess? Are you still not going to take responsibility!? Then I’ll to break down this door here and now! But who knows what will happen if I use magic right here in the Temple of Shinou!”

When the verbal abuse stopped for a moment, Gisela pushed aside Wolfram, who was breathing so hard his shoulders were moving with each breath, and called out in a kind voice.(…)

“What was that?” asked Wolfram.

“… I don’t know. It was abnormally strong and unstable… and atrocious. It was erratic… maybe-”

“It’s Yuuri!” (…)

“Whether it’s abnormal or normal, that’s Yuuri. Thank goodness, he’s alive! He’s alive, right!?” Wolfram pressed the flat of his hand to his forehead to stave off the stabbing pain spreading through his sinuses. He held back his tears. “But where is this? Do you know the location?”(…)

“Shimaron of all places.”

Since this had happened to me several times before, I realized that my head was in someone’s lap even before I opened my eyes. But Wolfram isn’t with me and Murata would be a little bonier and harder. What is this superb elasticity?

With bloodshot eyes, Wolfram watched his oldest brother go through details one by one and deal with them. He hadn’t gotten a wink of sleep since yesterday, but he wasn’t feeling tired because he was too exhilarated.

Yuuram in Novel : 1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10|11|12|13|14|15|16|17

I did exactly that. I started with the anime. I loved the Royal Couple so much that I wanted more content and so I got to know about the manga(since I'm not a LN reader). Then I found out a few artwork which were done by Temari-sensei and turned out to be the novel illustrations. I was that of Wolf and Yuuri from Seisakoku arc and I just couldn't contain my curiosity when I realised there is more content. So went ahead and read the Novels from the Seisakoku arc. Then after finishing it and realising the character difference and the amazing work of Takabayashi-sensei I went ahead and read the whole LN from Vol 1 to 17 again. It was highly satisfying!! It is a beautiful work! Truly a masterpiece! With the characters and story line being so wonderfully unique and entertaining in its own way. And the LN is dark!! It is so good that way.

Is this show done? How about the novels its 2019 and i just started watchingthe anime.where does the anime leave off in regards to the manga/novel

Anime and manga are finished, the novels aren’t (although the story line is way ahead of the others).

In my personal opinion watch the anime first, then read the manga , lastly read the novels, so you go from worst to best format.(If you read the novels first it will be impossible to watch the anime.)After about chapter 40 in the anime, it goes its own way separate from the novels. Same with the manga after chapter 96.Both of these take place at the end of the Caloria arc (novel 8).If you really can’t be bothered to read the early novels (which are completely different and so much better than anything else in this series), then read novel 8, to sorta understand where in the anime/manga you left off, and then start with novel 9 (Seisakoku arc) for new material. You will be missing out on: 1) Yuuri being a completely different character   2) Wolfram’s character development. 3) The yuuram relationship development. But hey, if you wanna skip everything that’s good in this series is up to you.Cheers!

June 17, 2020 :: In the classroom after school

I am overwhelmed. And really glad that Yuuki finally got to have such a lovely family and be happy. Even Maki. I love her character. I am so glad Mutsuki is their son- well I think it should be more like, they raised him well.

But I wish them a happy life.

What a sweet chapter. Even without directly showing the old cast this series manages to say a lot about them

It is so refreshing to find people who read the Light Novel and appreciate it's awesomeness! I mean it is so underrated because of various different reasons. It is. marvellous piece of work!! And Takabayashi-sensei's way of writing is amazing!! The way she changes the atmosphere is just plain awesome.

All her characters have a very unique personality. And she makes it a point to break the character stereotype. Like how the ethereal beauty Günter has an extremely perverted side, the eternally stoic Gwendal has a soft spot for cute things, the perfect gentleman Conrart has a thing for cold puns and how the fallen angel is a selfish brat when he opens his mouth(but I find him charming no matter what).

She has made even the women superior. Not like the meek heroines that we mostly encounter. But ladies like Anissina, Gisela, Flynn, Julia, Jennifer, Celi, etc. They can protect themselves and even others and contribute extremely for the kingdom.

Even Yuuri has his unique character where he has a bad temper and a habit of going into a "Turkish March", if you get what I mean. He has a strong sense of justice which drives him to do crazy things. But he his easily manipulated though he is not dense(at least not that much)

I have no words for the beautiful YuuRam. If I start then I won't be able to end. For me, they are one of the best couple that I have come across. Yuuri and Wolfram complement each other. But since they are guys so it is hard for Yuuri to accept their relationship. Yet no matter, he considers Wolf his best friend, comrade, and his precious partner. It is just too beautiful for words!! Wolfram obviously has already pledged his life to serve Yuuri already. And no matter how much Yuuri complains about his engagement, the fact that he protested about the punch by Wolf as an act of domestic violence and complaining about divorce added with his regular praises of Wolf's beauty is proof enough. Plus the way Wolf can go from being a wagamama-puu to encouraging Yuuri is beautiful(in more ways than one).

Yuuri just say yes already!! (cause Wolf is all hyped about marrying you!)

What I found out about Maruma/KKM after reading the novel up to 15 chapters.

WARNING! MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS.

Yuuri is not as innocent as I thought he is. He’s still dense and very kind but not stupid and innocent.

I fell in love completely with Yuuri from the ball at Dai Shimaron chapter and I feel so guilty towards Wolfram and to think that he’s my baby.

Yuuri POV consists, things he shouldn’t do, baseball reference, and how beautiful Wolfram is.

Wolfram is Yuuri’s personal sun.

Flynn has more characters and not as plain as how I remembered her from the anime.

The Maou Yuuri is a lot more badass!

Adalbert is more likable, I mean a lot lot lot more likable in the novel I found myself loving his character so much!

And his side story with Julia thrown me off board from ConradxJulia ship and I even throw that ship into the abyss now.

Maxine is the character I strangely found enjoyable it still puzzle me.

Adalbert and Maxine relationship is one hell of a relationship. Well, they are a perfect family! Father, son and granddaughters.

Conrad is not a Mr. nice guy!

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mean he’s hateful, I mean he has a dark side that I never see from the anime.

Conrad not return had so much more impact to the whole story and the anime did bad by changing that.

ConYuu in the novel is strong but I still have the same opinion as from the anime. I don’t ship them.

Greta is great! (I’m borrowing Conrad’s lame joke)

But seriously I always thought Greta as a tag-along character. The character which don’t bring much significant but her character did have impact and she’s very adorable and I love her!

The additional character like, Amblin, Sizemore, Chevalier and others help spiced things up so I feel bad they were cut off from the anime.

I love Anini so much!!!!!!! She’s mad, she genius, she’s mad, she’s funny, she’s mad, she’s strong, she’ ma… Did I already said mad? XP

Owh! And how she always happen to slap everyone with her hair whenever she turn around is my personal favorite.

Have I told that I now ship GwenxAnini? I DO! HARD!

Their relationship is the best and even so cringe worthy.

When will you two gonna get married.

Maybe the youngest will be the first one.

Gwen win the best older brother award. I mean despite of his fear, he went into his dimensional drawer in order to go to Kalbenikoff coz he thought Anissina tried to use Conrad as Romero.

I’m so proud of my Wolf cub if I’m gonna write about how proud I am of him I may need end up writing for days.

He matured so much!

I love him more and more and more now!

And he’s not the unreasonably over jealous type.

But Yuuri’s so afraid of him especially whenever Wolfram give the we’ll-talk-this-in-private vibe that I found it amusing.

Yuuram in the novel is much stronger my shipping heart almost can’t stand it.

Just get married already guys!

But on second thought, they did acted up like a married couple.

Btw, I found out that many people are in favor for their engagement.

So hurry up and get married!

Yozak is more Gurier(I wonder if you get this) and I love him soooooo much!

Coz I love Yozak so much, I’m really mad at Conrad when he accused Yozak as irresponsible for purposely losing to Adalbert and cause Yuuri to have to fight as third contestant in the Shimaron tournament. And the other time is during Seisa arc when Yozak being controlled and became the enemy Conrad don’t hesitate to cross sword with him. I mean come on Conrad, he’s protecting Yuuri with his life during your absence!

I don’t know what happen to Yozak but I hope he’s fine! *pray hard*

Weird but I can’t ship Conrad with anyone at all.

Sara is terrible! Nuff said.

But I love the terrible Sara anyway.

Sergeant Gisela is the best. How she flipped the switch from the gentle healer to Demon Sergeant is the best. Go on and admire her Greta.

Murata is wiser but only from novel I understand his pain of not able to forgot. *pats Murata*

He’s wise but he did acted up like a 4000 years old man.

Lady Cheri is indeed a good mother and I’m totally fine with her free love lifestyle.

Fanfan is really cheesy I’m puking out rainbows! No! You don’t have to take note Dorcascos!

Gunter is really disgusting! Lol

I found Bob to be a really funny guy.

Ah! Shouri needs more limelight. He deserved it!

I basically just love everyone in the novel.

The novel can turn from serious to a total crack in 0.001 second yet I’m totally fine with it.

I agree with how the novel don’t sugarcoat things just to make them acceptable.

All in all I’m enjoying the novel so much I feel sad to finish the other two volumes so I tried to take my time by reading the gaidens and extras slowly. I still don’t have any thought bout Shinou coz I’m just about to read the gaiden. I might add things up as I still have lots of material to read and if I suddenly remember things. XP
