ever since baizhu’s confirmation - actually, even weeks before that - zhongli has been very reluctant to let you wander out of the house. or even out of his sight, in general (which is quite strange since with his enhanced dragon senses you know he’s able to locate you within the house with no problems at all).

at night, you sometimes wake up to him in his dragon form. sometimes it’s his compact form nuzzling and he's purring near your stomach, sometimes it’s his half-dragon form where he’ll place his head beside your stomach with his tail curling around you protectively. it doesn’t matter whether you’re already showing or not; your heartbeat and the little hatchling’s brings him a sense of comfort that he needs, lest he becomes restless.

his nesting behavior is out of control. he’ll bring you all the pillows and blankets, surround you with the nicest smelling flowers, make you always wear his shirt, and he’ll bring anything you want to the bed so you don’t have to leave the nest. the further you are into your pregnancy, the more reluctant he is to leave you alone. he ends up taking that paternal leave hu tao has been telling him to get. bless her.

gorou is just as excited as he’s alerted. kokomi will have to force her best general to take a temporary leave from the army throughout your pregnancy because he’s so jumpy and sensitive to literally everything and his behavior is making all of the soldiers anxious.

gorou insists that you take a walk with him every day; just something light around the block to keep you from feeling lethargic. he’s also developed a habit to sniff everything that will touch your hand. yes, that includes your supposedly harmless change of clothes. it’s not ridiculous in his opinion! it’s a necessary precaution!!

will snarl when a stranger approaches you and tries to touch you in any way, even if it’s just a friendly gesture. he would be so embarrassed and apologetic about it afterward, but only once you’re at the safe haven of your house.

are you a forest ranger? an adventurer? does your profession require you to venture into the wilderness? welp, say goodbye to your job for the time being, because there is no way in any cycles of samsara tighnari would let you go into the dangers outside while you’re carrying his pups.

walking arm-in-arm whenever you're out and about is a must these days. whenever a villager congratulates you, you can sense his hold tightening despite the polite smile on his lips. if it was up to his instinct, he wouldn’t have let you get out of the house, but rationally he knows you need to move around and breathe in the fresh air.

This is how you die.

On the bed, phone in hand, a fatal weight crushing your torso. It’s a slow, agonizing death for sure, but it’s not the worst way to go.

“Mammon, I need to charge my phone.”

The demon hums, but doesn’t move a single muscle.

Maybe it isn't such a good idea, stealing his perfume. The very moment he recognized the fragrance, he made it his mission to follow you everywhere you went. He was there in your classes, was clinging onto you as you made your way down the hallways, had his head resting on your shoulder during lunchtime.

And now, just as you’re about to take a nap, he flings himself onto you and tucks his arms comfortably under your back. His hair is a mess from all the tossing, and it's tickling your face. All this cuddling has made you quite hot, and you are quite sure your bones will never be arranged in the same way again.

But to say that you hate it would be a lie. It's far from the truth, actually. You are getting a kick out of the circumstance. It's not everyday Mammon puts his affection on display like this, especially physically. This side of him is almost endearing.

You push his bangs back, and notice that his eyes are closed. "Are you taking the nap for me?"

"Can't help it," his words are slurred with drowsiness. "You smell so good."

"It's the tenth time you tell me that. And mind you, it's your perfume."

"Yea, I have good taste."

The both of you chuckle.

Sleep crawls up on you at last, owing to his steady breathing and peaceful countenance. Throwing your phone to the far side of the bed, you shift so that you are lying flat on your back and wrap your arms around him. He buries his face even further into your shirt, so much that you aren't sure if he can breathe.

You shake the thought off. Death by cuddling doesn't sound too bad anyways.

and so the mini qna went.. many questions such as “what is your favourite animal” and “your fav colour?” was asked a lot and many uhm.. questionable questions were being asked too.

and it was over all fun!! many of zhongli’s viewers also chimed in there and then to tell some facts too, it was just amazing to talk to everyone.

during one of zhongli’s “lesson of the day” speech, a sudden notification popped out of nowhere, it was a question if you liked cats or dogs more and why.

although the question came out of nowhere you were quick to answer it so zhongli could go on with his speech but it just seemed like more and more people decided to ask you more questions too, you didn’t mind of course. but you felt bad for zhongli as he’s just sitting there, waiting for everyone to quiet down so he could finish what he was saying but it just never happens :(

you sigh and close as your eyes as you listen to ayato reminding everyone about what happened last time and that if anyone did ask a question they would be banned.

this went on for a bit before you got a bit tired and said out of no where -  “just let them ask me questions ayato, it won’t hurt right? plus even if someone were to ask me such questions you or the mod could just ban them!”

The plush hotel pillows felt lush on your cheeks, pressing your face against the fabric more the break of a sunrise peeks through the sheer curtains in your room. You groan turning away from the bright light wanting to just sleep longer since you barely had any sleep for the last few days.
