Adar + sitting on his thrones
I did it š I made a freaking petition!
I don't even know if we'll get even 10 signs or how we will ever get this to the ROP team but I made it! I needed to do something!
Sam Hazeldine as Adar
The Rings of Power, S2E1 - Elven Kings Under The Sky
Iāve seen a lot of discussion on how tragic Adarās story is, but I donāt think Iāve seen any mention of how he actually realizes his mistake just before heās killed. He tells Galadriel, āAdar is the name I earned. Help me earn it back.ā I donāt know if people understand the significance of that second line. āEarn it backā means he realizes that he doesnāt deserve the name anymore, because he hasnāt been acting like a father to his children since this obsession with killing Sauron. That makes it all the more tragic, because Glug didnāt have to kill him. He was going to do things differently now. Atone for his mistakes. Stop sacrificing the Uruk in this violent crusade, focus instead on protecting them, defending their new home. But Glug didnāt know thatāor didnāt care. That makes it so much sadder.

"Do you swear allegiance to Adar, Lord-father of theĀ Uruks?"
Sam has such beautiful blue eyes. But we rarely see them, because of the lightning of the series/or because he has many dark(er) scenes?
Anyway, I think in ep.1 and 3 there are some pretty shots of our blue eyed, dark haired Adar daddyā¤ļø
he really does!! (though my personal headcanon Adar is always green-eyed, Sam's eyes are also INCREDIBLE and i would happily get lost in them for DAYS.)
The color treatment of these episodes was kind of garbage for distinguishing eye color, but here was my attempt to edit these a little and make dem peepers pop.
Scientific analysis: HE FINEEEEEEEE.
"When last I looked like this, I was known by another name. A meaningless name. A name I was given. Adar is the name I earned."
For Adar and Sam Hazeldine fans!
I have found a podcast episode from early 2022, where Sam speaks about how he became an actor, his dad (who was also an actor), movie and theathre and also very honestly about his troublesome scene with Samuel L. Jackson for more than an hour!!
Here you go (there are some technical problems and a bit of chaos at the beggining, but it worth listening!)
