A finished commissioned piece for Chanidae's beloved Unnamed (how mysterious). Thank you so much for supporting me!
My biggest tip for fanfic writers is this: if you get a character's mannerisms and speech pattern down, you can make them do pretty much whatever you want and it'll feel in character.
Logic: Characters, just like real people, are mallable. There is typically very little that's so truly, heinously out of character that you absolutely cannot make it work under any circumstance. In addition, most fans are also willing to accept characterization stretches if it makes the fic work. Yeah, we all know the villain and the hero wouldn't cuddle for warmth in canon. But if they did do that, how would they do it?
What counts is often not so much 'would the character do this?' and more 'if the character did do this, how would they do it?' If you get 'how' part right, your readers will probably be willing to buy the rest, because it will still feel like their favourite character. But if it doesn't feel like the character anymore, why are they even reading the fic?
Worry less about whether a character would do something, and more about how they'd sound while doing it.
Gang, I don't think anything will be topping a user having to explain the concept of a 3D shape to a mod
Whenever I need my blood pressure raising, I go to the skin and accent problems forum thread and read the rejection reasons
got a major pest problem this year actually
Okay, I'm going to be taking the final dip and will be opening commissions soon in the future for pixel art FR dragons. I gotta work out exact prices, but stay tuned π
Checking the Etalon horse genetics database start of every month just to make sure they haven't found another fucking dominant white.

It took a long while, but finally I finished colouring this black-and-white photo.
Everything has been colour matched to be as accurate as possible to how it was in real life, guided by other colour photos of the event. Though, some exceptions had to be taken, such as the hair and clothing colour of background people.
Tag wrangling is, on the whole, a fluid process. It's meant to be, because the way language is used and the way tags are used change over time. We're the first to admit that we donβt always get it right, and that we do sometimes make mistakes despite our best intentions. This is why wrangling decisions are not set in stone and are reevaluated periodically as circumstances change or as new information becomes available.Β
In light of the impact that removing the Sherlock Holmes & Related Fandoms metatag has had, we have put that metatag back in place.Β
When it comes to fandom metatags and fandom trees, there is no 'one size fits all' approach that works for all fandoms. Consequently, we have placed a hold on all structural changes to fandom metatags, All Media Types fandoms (commonly called AMTs), and fandom trees while wranglers discuss the need for additional guidelines and adjustments to our approach regarding these tags going forward.Β
This hold will remain in place until tag wranglers have had ample time to fully reevaluate our fandom wrangling guidelines with the aim of making it easier for Archive users to find the content theyβre looking for and filter out the content they arenβt. This guideline reevaluation process is something we are actively working on, but it will likely take some time to complete. We will update again once these fandom guideline discussions have come to a close.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
