Sometimes I just think about Kashi. What was he doing. What was his purpose. I fuck with him on an intrinsic level.

Benedict next season: Mother, what you and Father, and Anthony, and Daphne... and Colin... and Francesca... all have is rare.
I think the most unintentionally pretentious part of me is I genuinely forget that most people do not have a near-encyclopedic knowledge of mythology and folklore. I literally just assume most people know at least the name of every Greek god. My mom and I were watching the Banshees of Inisherin and at the start, she asked "Do you know what a banshee is?" and I was so stunned because it would never occur to me to ask that question because I would never assume the average person doesn't know what a banshee is. The average person knows what a banshee is right. You know what a banshee is right. You know the names of the greek gods right. You know that norse myth where loki fucked the horse right. Right. RIGHT
Is it sad that I just thought maybe Jacerys kept his hair short and straight so that no one saw that resemblance between him and harwin?? I know its most likely not but it's sad to think that.
Wisteria and spring flowers at Coton Manor π ~ Ramona Jones
Iβve been thinking while coloring my hair and tbh, if I had 3 genie wishes (ones that wouldnβt backfire on me) my first wish would probably be βI wish that candy and soft drinks were not unhealthy for meβ
After witnessing the Queen slapping her brother one evening, Rhaenyra decided to not let her hateful relationship with Alicent stop her any longer from getting close to her half siblings.
Masterlist (requests are currently open for now)
After putting her baby boy, Joffrey to sleep, Rhaenyra turned to the doors of her chambers to see her two boys Jace and Luke peering inside.
"Mother?" Luke asked. "Come in, sweet boys," Rhaenyra said in a soft tone, "Your brother is now sleeping, so we must speak a little quieter, alright?"
They nodded and approached the Heir. Rhaenyra frowned a little as she noticed her boys' concern expressions. "What is it, my lovelies?" she asked as she knelt down in front of them, gently placing her hands on their arms.
"Can you please come with us and check on our Aunt and Uncles?" Jace asked, "I mean, you don't have to, but... we hope you can."
Rhaenyra frowned, "Why do you want to check on them?"
"Jace and I were playing with them, and the Queen yelled at all of us," Luke said, looking upset by the memory. Rhaenyra tried to stay calm outside but inside she was boiling with rage for the Queen to yell at her boys and her siblings just because they were playing together. "We even got Helaena to play with us, but then Jace and I ran out to get you."
"Can you please do something?" Jace asked. "Please mother, tell the Queen we won't play with them, so she doesn't need to harm them."
Rhaenyra froze by those words. Does the Queen hurt them? She thought back to all those time she walked past them, she didn't look enough to see if the Queen had harmed them in any way, but every time she was close enough, the Queen was there to step in between them, or they will glance at her with fear as if she could harm them as well.
Rhaenyra looked at her boys and stood up, "Let us go."
Her boys quickly led her to Aegon's chambers, and she froze when she saw Ser Criston Cole looking at the doors, his body was tensed, looking as if he wanted to go inside to stop whatever was happening.
Rhaenyra quickly walked closer, and her former knight looked over at her, his worried expression changed to natural, but the Heir didn't pay attention to him after she reached to the doors. She opened them quickly and stepped in with her sons as she heard the Queen yelling at her children,
"Have you lost your minds?! She will kill you all!"
Slap!
Rhaenyra froze when she saw Alicent had landed a hard slap across Aegon's face. "What is the meaning of this?!" the Heir asked loudly. The Queen and the children all turned to her, but her eyes were glaring at Alicent.
Sister, Aegon wanted to say but kept quiet, not wanting to anger his mother anymore at the moment but there was a flicker of relief in his eyes when he saw her.
"It is not of your concern, Princess," Alicent said in a calm tone. Rhaenyra ignored her at the moment and her eyes flickered between her siblings.
Little Daeron, only eight, was holding into Aemond's arm tightly as in hope he would protect him for harm, while Aemond was standing in front of him and Helaena, as if shielding them for their mother.
Rhaenyra's eyes flickered back to the Queen. "Jace, Luke, please take your aunt and uncles to chambers," she said in a kind tone but her eyes were anything but kind, as she glared at the woman who was once upon a time her closes friend.
"My daughter and sons will be going to their chambers, thank you," Alicent said, her eyes looked at her children in disbelief when they attempted to flee with the Heir's sons.
"No."
The Queen looked at Rhaenyra when she spoke.
"I am the Queen," Alicent said. "And I am the Heir," Rhaenyra said as she stepped closer, "I am a Targaryen by blood, you are nothing." Alicent stepped back as if she got slapped. "You gave birth to my siblings, but they are Targaryen. They are blood of my blood, and you will never lay a hand on any of them ever again!"
Alicent's teary eyes glared at her, but the Princess didn't care, and she definitely wasn't intimidated. "Do not attempt me, if you will indeed lay a hand on them, I shall make you regret that," Rhaenyra warned. She turned to her siblings who stared at her in surprise. Her eyes soften, "Let's go."
Jace and Luke took the lead and led the siblings to the family chambers. Rhaenyra turned to her siblings, "We will be having dinner soon, would you all like to join us?"
"Yes!" Jace said quickly as he looked at his uncles and aunt, "Please."
Aemond, Daeron and Helaena looked at Aegon to hear his answer. The eldest between them glanced at them and then looked at his older sister, who's eyes were soft, and a small soft smile was placed on her lips.
"If it's alright," he said softly. Rhaenyra's smile widened a little more and she nodded. She looked at her sons, "Tell your father my siblings will be joining us, and make sure there are extra plates."
"All right," Jace said happily, and he and Luke ran away. Rhaenyra turned back to her siblings who were tensed. She tilted her head and stepped forward. She noticed the handprint on Aegon's cheek and gently placed her hand on his cheek, and he flinched before he stood in place.
Rhaenyra's eyes soften more, and she lowered her hand to her side. "Are you all right?" she asked softly, her eyes flickered between them all.
Aemond nodded slightly, holding Daeron's hand tightly in his. "Yes."
Rhaenyra nodded and looked back at Aegon, waiting for his own answer. He let out a shaky breath he didn't know he was holding and nodded, "I am now," he muttered.
Rhaenyra nodded again.
"Will you kill us?"
Rhaenyra, Aegon, Helaena and Aemond glanced down at little Daeron, who was still holding into his big brother's hand, afraid to let it go and be taken away.
Rhaenyra was stunned by the question, and moved closer to her youngest brother. She knelt down and placed her hand gently on his tensed arm, "Of course not," she said, but Daeron still seemed a bit hesitated. "Who told you such a lie?"
"Mother," Daeron admitted, and Rhaenyra was again stunned. "She and Grandsire said that when you become Queen, you will put our heads on sword."
Rhaenyra couldn't form a word after this.
Alicent and Otto thought she will kill her siblings--her blood--the moment their father will pass.
How dare they?
How dare they put such lies into her siblings' minds? How dare they harm her siblings? Make them fear her? Push them away from her?"
Rhaenyra swallowed, her throat was tight, and she blinked the tears that were threatening to fall.
Rhaenyra let out a soft and shaky breath and took Daeron's and Aemond's hands in hers and looked at all of her siblings.
"I will never harm you. None of you."
Her eyes moved back to Daeron and she brushed her hand on his little cheek.
"You are safe with me. Always."
She saw her siblings' shoulders finally relaxed and she felt a pang in her chest from how tensed they were all around her.
Suddenly, Daeron, hesitantly, took one step forward and threw his arms around Rhaenyra, as if afraid he overstepped. But, their older sister immediately embraced him tightly, and his body relaxed.
Helaena looked relief, muttering to herself, "I won't fall any longer."
Time for a new poll! I'm curious to see the spread of answers on this one (and hear any other series not on the list.) Tried to go for a range of older and newer series on here, more on the older end of the spectrum, but I can't cover everything with the limited poll options here, so I hope you'll share your answers! :)
Please reblog for a larger sample size, thank you!
