This is the reason Nancy Pelosi is so sensitive about political violence. It is the reason she does not trust these republican members of the house who refuse to go through the metal detectors on Capitol Hill. It is why the violent rhetoric used by republicans against her and other democrats upsets and angers her so much.
She knew these people that were assasinated. She is friends with Senator Diane Feinstein, who found Harvey Milk’s dead body, and unknowingly put her hand through one of his bullet holes trying to find a pulse. She is also friends with Congresswoman Jackie Speier who was shot 5 times in Jonestown where another San Francisco congressman, Leo Ryan, was shot and killed one week before Milk and Moscone.
Jackie Speier still has two bullets in her body from Jonestown. San Francisco city hall still has metal detectors at entrances and do bag searches because they have not forgotten that this happened, and city employees are not exempt from going through them because of Dan White. The entire city still has collective trauma from this two week period forty years ago, and it particularly effects their elected officials there.
History matters. Shared trauma matters. It should be taught and understood so it can be avoided from ever happening again.
For my horror nerds & those needing help with what sort of film you’re looking for! Here’s a guide to horror subgenres:
I was scrolling through Tumblr and came across a post of KNOWN PEDOPHILES ON TUMBLR (many of which have or want to rape actual children/minors)

Characters: Bucky Barnes

A/N: this popped in my head AND I AM SO SORRY. Also, I need to work on titles. Ugh.

They say that the first emotion you shared with your soulmate was one that would rock your entire being.
Bucky was grateful he had never felt it.
Of course, he had been in and out of time so the thought of having a soulmate was the furthest thing from his mind.
Fear and loneliness were a constant for him and he would hate to have someone feel that. They said that some had their soulmate born at the wrong time. He figured it was like this for him, it made sense, he had been on ice for the longest time.
Then there were times when he would be walking along, Steve and Sam having dragged him out of his hidey hole and into the sun, moments that made him pause. He would turn his face into the sun, let the warmth sink into his skin and his breath would catch.
"They say that some can talk with their soulmates before even meeting."
"That what happen with Tony?"
Sam smiled at Steve as he shoved a hot dog into Bucky's hand. "That's what he claims.
"Can you imagine?"
Bucky shoved the dog into his mouth. God he hoped not. He had enough voices in his head.
He wondered what song it was that was stuck in his head, where had he heard it? Maybe Natalia had sung it. Confusion swamped him and he blinked at the bright rays of sun that blinded him.
"Tony says that Pepper was on the verge of marrying someone else."
That wasn't unheard of. Many had relationships before meeting their soulmates. Some married and had full lives before meeting their other halfs. Bucky wondered, how could you choose? Or was it something that you had no choice in?
He shook his head, the soft song just barely vague enough that he could not hear the words. He could feel them. He grunted as Steve knocked into him pulling him from his thoughts.
**
Pain woke him.
He was used to pain. It was like a second skin. He reached up and touched his eye gingerly, did he get hit during rough housing with Steve earlier? He grumbled as he swung his legs over the edge, the pang of sadness hit him like a wave and made him stumble.
His lips hurt and he was certain it hadn't been split, he fumbled till he caught the switch and he stared at his reflection in the mirror.
Nothing.
He was fine.
Why did he feel like shit? Like Steve had put him through the ringer.
"Fucking crazy."
And there was that song again suddenly.
And the sadness was stronger and Bucky felt as if the world had turned upside down.
"Are you real?" He asked quietly, holding his breath, praying he was wrong.
"Oh." Came a soft response. The song halting.
"Oh," he repeated.
His heart clenched and he stumbled back till he hit the wall next to the door. The light quite suddenly too bright in the small bathroom.
He felt- desperation. A sudden clarity and a gnawing pain. A pain that was deeper than physical, the loneliness hit hard and he struggled to breathe. It was her loneliness. Her fear. He had felt this before. She had felt this…
"I'm sorry."
Bucky blinked. It was gone. The pain in his jaw, the feel of a cut lip, the throbbing in his eye. Not only the physical but the sadness that had weighed him down so heavily had lifted and he found he could breathe.
He took a breath surprised at how easy it was. How his lungs expanded, the ache gone.
A new ache made his eyes sting, a sob catching in his throat as he slid down the wall, curling in on himself.
He had a soulmate.
One he had never wanted. One he had been grateful to not have.
She was out there. Alone. Hurt.
She had apologized to him.
When she was in need of him.
He took in a deep breath, jaw setting in determination. He was going to find her. Even if she didn't want him to.
I decided to put my computer degree to good use and put this little How To together to help with the plagiarism problem because I’m sick of it.
This will disable text highlighting on your blog pages so they can’t use copy.
Disclaimers:
Sorry I didn’t do this sooner. I haven’t done coding in a while
Not sure if someone else has already done this
This should work on desktop but likely not on app because that’s a whole other thing
I have not thoroughly tested this but it seems to work on mine on my blog page itself

Literally someone just said to me “don’t give your reader insert a name or race because I can’t put myself in the situation and I’m not trying to play a role like an actress”
Okay so you’re blind? So you’re a spy? You’re ex military? You’re a nurse? You’re a superhero? You were experimented on by a secret nazi sect?????
Bitch shut up, you’re just fucking racist
This is something that happens every day in your life. A shift of your eyebrow in skepticism, or the way your lip may twitch to a half smile cause you’re trying not to laugh. These behaviors are vital for writing in character, because not only do the allow you to visually see what is happening but it is also reaffirming whatever emotion your character is showing.
Much of human communication is non-verbal which means you need to also translate this non-verbal reaction in a post. It allows you to greatly enhance the emotions of another character and always another person to ‘visually’ see how they feel in a post. Most of all, this will add depth and volume to your post to make it feel more real. IT will make your character feel like a human instead of just another fictional person you look at from above.
Below you will find a list different type of emotions and what sort of body language can be exhibited to them.
When writing about emotions, there are different ways to verbally write them out. Each one is unique in their own way, allowing you to show more about the emotion.
Emphasize the Emotion. But doing this, you are expressing both the emotion and the body language. We’ll use a simple example. It’s short and simple yet you can sense he is happy. John felt so happy that he was humming a tune while walking down the hall.
Complicate the Emotion. Sometimes, even when you are feeling one emotion, deep down rooted underneath the facade of it all, there is actually an underlining emotion they feel. This is something you have to truly express otherwise no one will know. John felt so happy that he was humming a tune while walking down the hall. However, it was obvious by the way his nose crinkled that he was disgusted by the actions beforehand. Instead, John covered it up by appearing pleased today.
Contradict the Emotion. This is a little different than complicate. Contradicting means that you are claiming one thing when in fact its the other. In many ways, this has a variety of uses, from inner depth of the truth to what you see in person, or someone creating a wall. It could be considered a lie, but when is anything that easy? John felt so happy that he was humming a tune while walking down the hall. In truth, once he was in the classroom, his shoulders slumped and a pout crossed his lips when no one was around, showing just how displeased he was with the situation.
Remember that you do not always have to contradict or complicate anything. Sometimes all you need to do is emphasize and that will be just fine. You don’t always have to have an underlining complicated for an emotion to make it more enhanced.
Do be afraid to use the Thesaurus to also improve an emotion. Such things as “happy” is a nice emotional word, but think of how much more powerful it is when you heard some is “overjoyed” or “content.” She how these emotions matched up with a body language can give two different styles of happiness? Mix and match to find what works best for your character at the time.
What I’ve stated above is more of a simplistic overview. IF you truly want to improve yourself, go to this
