Adrien should get to kill his father
I think it’s important to notice, sweet cinnamon roll Adrien who is usually not very confrontational constantly defends Marinette and harshly confronts anyone who tries to harm her in any sort of way.
It’s become even more obvious now that they’re dating. Like, he balled up his fist when he heard Kim telling the story about how he pranked Marinette. He was so quick to finally end his friendship with Chloe once he heard the entire story.
And truth be told, this isn’t something he just started doing. Let’s not forget how he threatened Lila and let her be his modeling partner just so he could get her to stop lying about Marinette.
Adrien is so in love with Marinette, enough to stand up for her and unleash some real boiling anger on anyone who tries to mess with her. He simply won’t tolerate it. It’s so character breaking for Adrien to be harsh, but he’s willing to be that way so long as he’s defending Marinette.
I also gotta admit, I love that Adrien keeps going against his father’s wishes to end his relationship with Marinette, and keeps having dates with her and keeps trying to convince Gabriel that she’s great.
Gabriel can stop Adrien from kissing her, but Adrien is never going to give up on Marinette and I love that. Adrien is slowly getting better at standing up to his father, which is some great character development, because it is never easy to stand up to someone who abuses you.
The only scary thing is that we’ve seen how much harm Adrien is capable of causing when he’s angry. He loses his temper the slightest bit when he’s Cat Noir, he has no issue cataclysming the villain. It’s rather terrifying to think of what could happen if someone pushes Adrien over the edge.
My mom had an abortion and I found out when I was a teenager and she was going on and on about abortion laws. Nobody but her and my dad knew she had an abortion.
A few months later my grandmother was going on and on about how horrible abortion is and I was arguing with her about it. She asked me "What if one of your siblings was aborted???" Obviously I couldn't out my mom and say "Oh yeah perfectly fine, been there done that!" But like, that question didn't exactly hit me like she had hoped it would.
Thanks mom.
i hate those posts that are like "what if your mother aborted you?" because it's LIKE. i value my mother as having her own agency above my existence simply because she came first. if she aborted me, id be fine with it because in the fucking hypothetical of un-existence & knowing, id rather her have access to safe abortion than having to carry & birth when she didn't want to like wtf kind of egotistical question is that. do u not value yr mother in the least. whatever joys you've gotten out of life aren't greater than yr mother's choice
No author is entitled to comments, to interaction, to reblogs or likes or reviews or anything, but in a community where you’re essentially a bunch of indie writers, that’s the lifeblood that keeps people *posting*. Writing doesn’t necessarily stop, but when someone feels like no one gives a shit whether you’re sharing or not, you quit sharing.
My anxiety and panic disorder would NOT be able to handle that. I would've promptly had a melt down and the entire day would be ruined and this would be a memory I'd think about late at night when I'm trying to go to sleep.
Anyone interested in hearing about the time I accidentally cut a massive line of people to do something but instead of getting yelled at I got applauded?
im going to have a stroke
Can you hold my hand? I'm feeling shy
@alwayssstired hey i see you
I think a running theme in this season of Miraculous Ladybug is that everyone is making mistakes. Obviously the undertone for the season is trust and lies (the first 2 episodes). But in this season all those misguided lies and half truths are going to pile up into some big grand event. And I can't wait to see it all unfold. Nobody is "right" in this season. There's a lot going on that should really not be. Ladybug should be telling her partner about all the new developments. Chat Noir should be voicing his concerns with Ladybug. Alya shouldn't have gone behind Marinette's back to tell her boyfriend after Mari asked her to keep it a secret. Nino shouldn't have outed his and his girlfriend's hero identities to Adrien. And Luka shouldn't have lied to Ladybug. We're watching two cars driving towards each other at full speed, just waiting for the crash.
One take that I keep seeing on Wishmaker is that Luka did his job and made the right decision and was being selfless.
No. He f***ing lied.
Luka had 2 jobs. Reset time if Ladybug and/or Chat noir got hit. And figure out how to stop Wishmaker.
Luka had time to see Ladybug and Chat noir get hit. He had a full 5 seconds use the bracelet instead of staring like a goldfish. WE KNOW it takes a bit before the magic kicks in. That is Luka's window.
Now in the case of Ladybug. You could argue he was mortified he accidentally deflected the blast at her. Maybe not really knowing how much time he had. Fair. Give him the first one because he didnt know how fact acting it was and likely was stunned by his actions.
But he has no excuse for Chat noir. As soon as he saw him get hit. He should have known to close his eyes and reset immediately.
Afterward, he tells Ladybug that her and Chat noir's identities are safe. Now in this instance. This is not a lie. He is not in anyway letting on that he knows. And he is saying the truth.
But then she asks before leaving if it was safe even from him.
This is where he ACTIVELY deceives her. She asked him if he knew. Her putting trust in him to tell her honestly and he lied.
This is a flaw, a selfish lie. This is something that should not be commended. But it is something that makes him interesting as a character.
I think that him making a call like this would be interesting, it should have some repercussions. But I hate how people glorify it as some grand choice and that what he did wasnt wrong . If he was being selfless he would have ADMITTED he saw. He would accept the failure and even if Marinette was mad at him for it.
This action is wrong and selfish. Stop being like
"Oh ItS cAuSe He CaReS aBoUt HeR fEeLiNgS."
No, if anything he would know how CRUCIAL this secret was. Considering how she couldnt tell him. The fact that he knows without her KNOWLEDGE AND ACTIVELY lied to her about knowing when asked. He is violating her trust.
Its a selfish action, it makes him flawed. Makes him more relatable. Simply accept that.
It makes me hopeful they do something with this. Perhaps have it come to bite him in the butt.
Gale, that was amazing
