Draw out your sigil on a piece of paper for your barrier (you’re welcome to use mine above). 4. Tear out paper and fold small enough to fit into locket. 5. Add a pinch of each herb to cauldron, bowl, or mortar. 6. Add one drop of each essential oil. 7. Mix and grind together with pestle or spoon. 8. When finished mixing, take your spoon and scoop up enough oil soaked herbs that will fit into your locket. 9. Seal with a kiss 💋While doing so, envision an orb of light coming from your locket and growing to surround your body.

And you’re finished! Blow out your candles to symbolize the end of your process 🕯

I hope this keeps you all safe 💕 Sometimes we just need a little space to ourselves! This spell is straight out of my own grimoire so please message me results! I’d love feedback ☺

☾ Rose Salt ☽

☾ Rose Salt ☽

One of my personal favorite things to make, Rose Salt has a variety of uses. Whether you use it as a scrub in the shower to cleanse yourself and your energies, as a relaxing soak in a warm bath to relax in, or sprinkle it in doorways and on windowsills as a form of protection, it’s multipurpose and very easy to make! What You’ll Need: - Dried Roses - Salt - A Vessel With a Lid to Keep It In - A Mortar & Pestle Optional: - Rose Essential Oil Steps:

Take the petals and buds of your Roses, save the stems and thorns for other spells, and grind them finely with your Mortar & Pestle.

Add Salt.

Mix both well until they are combined well.

Add the mixture into the vessel you chose.

Add the essential oil, seal the vessel, and gently shake to combine everything together more easily.

One of the many properties of Roses is Protection as is with Salt so combining the two gives you a simple, fragrant protective material to keep around your home.

Bedridden witch: Stale energy edition

Bedridden Witch: Stale Energy Edition

Anyone who’s been stuck in bed knows how quickly that stale feeling can build up! Here’s some tips (both witchy and non) for clearing some of that unwanted energy. Thank you @tealeavesandpapertrees for requesting this post!

Open a window.

Hang wind chimes outside.

Hang a rainbow prism by your window, let the light cleanse your room.

Keep a small fan.

Flip over your blankets and pillows.

Use a Himalayan salt lamp.

Clean one area per day (can be minuscule or massive)

Let the moon wash over your room.

Burn candles, let the flame burn away any unwanted energy

Make a spritz with scented herbs or infused water.

Let the weather cleanse your room, no matter what it may be.

Manipulate the energy with your hands.

Do at least one hygienic thing per day.

Set out a bowl of water to absorb the energy, dispose accordingly.

Wash all of your bedding, place some cleansing sigils or herbs underneath your mattress.

Wash yourself, even if it’s just with a cloth.

Speak out loud (or communicate in some form) what things you would like to invite into your space.

Use a wax melter with some cheery scents.

Get a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Play music.

Burn incense, as the smoke wafts around the room let it push away any unwanted energy.

Visualize a light clearing out the energy.

Switch which side of the bed your lying on.

When it rains, imagine the rain washing away or drawing out the energy.

Laughter is the best medicine. Watch a funny or heartwarming movie that makes you feel content.

Keep a jar and write down anything you want to let go of. Destroy accordingly.

Change what clothes you’re wearing every couple of days.

Hold a crystal and imagine it sending out positive energy.

So many, many other things!

Healing From Grief & Loss Charm Bag

Thought I would take this time to share some original content with everyone!

Last week my grandfather passed away, and I felt the need to create some magic for my family to carry with them while we process this difficult loss.

I created charm bags centered around healing from grief and loss with different options for herbs and colors for the bags along with their correspondences.

Before I placed everything in the bag, I cleansed everything in the smoke of frankincense & myrh.

✨Reblogable, just don’t delete the caption & repost✨

Moon water 101:

What is Moon water?

Moon water is water charged under the moonlight, often the full moon, to have specific energy infused.

How do you make Moon water?

Fill your vessel with water (add stones if you wanted to make the energy more specific). Put the vessel under the moonlight, after the sun has full set. Take your vessel from it’s spot before the sun raises again. Store it somewhere away from the sun.

Tips:

You only need to make enough water for a month. Remember, the moon will wane, and wax again, and you will get more water.

Store your water in a closed drawer/cabinet, or under a cloth to keep the sun’s energy out.

Uses:

Cleanse, anoint, or bind your tools.

Add to spells, potions, drinks, or meals to give them a more powerful affect.

Use in place of any oils in a pinch!

The left over moon water at the end of the cycle can water plants, nourish you and your pets, or can be used to clean (recipe below)

Use in offerings to almost any deity

Recipes:

Cleansing Spray: Put moon water and sprigs of fresh rosemary in a spray bottle. Sprinkle some salt in. This can be used to cleanse your Altar, your bedroom, or kitchen, or anywhere that might beed protection

Cleaning Spray: Add Moon water and vinegar to a spray bottle at a 1:1 ratio. Add Rosemary and salt. Let set for one week, after that you have an all purpose cleaner, that also gives protection!

Moon phases in correspondence to Spells:

New Moon: Setting Intentions and New Beginnings- Water charged under the full moon is great to help you set goals, helping you with getting rid of vices, and starting to hobbies/ventures in life.

Waxing Moon(First Quarter): Taking action, Inspiration- Need to make a big change in your life? Use Waxing moon water. Good luck spells is a great example. If you are into dark magick there are a lot of things to do with Waxing moon water

Full Moon: Harvesting, letting go- Has something been bothering you? Hanging over your head? Now’s the time to let it go. But as well, this is the time to reap what you so. Give full moon water as an offering to your deities, in thanks for your harvest.

Waning Moon(Last Quarter): Gratitude and re-evaluation. This is a time to be thankful of the harvest that the full moon brought, as well as re-evaluating how you would change your path in the future, in preparations for the new beginnings the new moons brings.

Practicing in Secret

Not everyone has the privilege to study as openly as they would like. Maybe your parents are against witchcraft. Maybe your roommates or the person you rent from are too ignorant to explain the craft to. If that is the case, here are a couple tricks so you don’t have to halt your practice.

image

Mint Tin Altars- Altoids and other mints come in small, deck of card sized tins, that you can fit a surprising amount into. Small crystals or crystal chips (which often can be found for less than $1 at most new age shops). Keep a tarot card at the bottom (drawn is fine), think of this as an altar cloth. You can also keep sigils, small cone incense (which can be burned safely on the metal tin!), and herbs.

These can be hidden pretty much anywhere. In dressers, closet, purse, backpack, or almost anywhere. You can also do these things in a shoebox, pencil box, or makeup box if you have/want the space.

Online Grimoire- Make a blog for your grimoire! Or use google docs for notes. There are lots of places you can do your note taking and book of shadow making all online so no one asks questions! I have a specific sideblog here on tumblr that is for all of my Book Of Shadow things. Tags keep things organized too!

image

Apps- #Selfcare is an app that helps you do self care right on your phone. It doesn’t give you “goals” or pesky reminders that make the self care feel like more of a chore, it’s simply there when you need it, to give you an escape. The app uses a lot of witchy things in it though, like crystals, tarot cards, altars, and more. It’s a great place to have a bunch of small daily rituals all on your phone! (I swear this isn’t an ad I know it looks like one)

You can also find many apps for tarot, moon phases, candles, etc. Many people  like to keep all of their recourses on their phone or tablet. These people are usually known as cyber witches

image

Kitchen Herbs- Find out what herbs you have in your kitchen that you can use without anyone noticing. Most herbs use in spells can be swapped out for things you have around the house. (Examples include cinnamon, nutmeg, basil, bay leaves, rosemary, or thyme)

image

Other Kitchen Magic- Often kitchen magic is pretty easy to cover up. Stirring drinks with intention (Clockwise for manifesting, counterclockwise for banishing), as well as simply mixing certain herbs together in good. Making Tea a ritual in your life is a great way to have a secret moment in your craft

image

Okay witches, this is just a small list, and there are countless ways to study your craft, but for people who may be limited, or need to keep things hidden this may be a place to start! (As well as spoonies, people who travel, and people who just don’t have the space!)
