Set of holographic stickers dedicated to The Holy Trinity.
I don't have any resolutions for the new year. The old year wasn't the best for me for a number of reasons. I would like a year with no downs, and in exchange I sacrifice the possibility of any ups. A year to exist without any plans for the better or the worst.
But to those who is currently celebrating alone or with friends and family;
And to those who is celebrating it for the first time, or those who thinks it might be their last;
And to those who have been waiting for this so much and those who would like to stop time, because everything is moving too fast and they just want to rest a little;
Happy New Year!!!
RIP David Lynch.
David Lynch truly is one of my biggest inspirations. I remember my teachers begging me to watch his work because my storytelling 'evoked' him in some way, and when I finally did I felt like I had found a missing piece in my brain. Everything clicked, I was so inspired.
His surreal approach to art and storytelling only strengthened the weird road I had begun to go down with my own art at that time. I became a much more honest artist. I'll forever be thankful.
He taught me the importance of letting a piece of art stand on its own, existing as an explanation of itself. That the audience has an important role to play in experiencing the art- they are the ones that get to put together the breadcrumbs the artist leaves, finding their own personal explanations and meanings in it.
It's why I leave a lot of 'lore' out and purposely leave gaps in certain pieces of my work. It's because I want the audience to find their own truth, play in the world I make. With Be Kind, My Neighbor, I did this so deliberately. Great God Grove, too. And I saw you all craft your own theories and play in that world. It was so beautiful and I hope I can let my audience participate in that way for as long as I make art.
David Lynch, you were so weird, you were such a pioneer, you really understood how to express your soul, express the human condition, it's lights, darks, in such a personal and unique way. Thank you. RIP
Literally no English-speaking people know this so I wanna share because I think it's the funniest shit ever
Y'know the quote "russian warship, go fuck yourself" that a Ukrainian guy said on the Snake Island? It became very popular among Ukrainians and was referenced in many other countries.
Ukrainians designed lots of merchandise with it, like stamps and patches, a lot of which was directed at charity early on. Then somebody made this:
The design aims to make the word "go" resemble the Ukrainian trident (coat of arms)
However, at some point people started using it without the russian warship part a lot more often. So I present to you this "patriotic mug", "patriotic pendant", and a "patriotic pillow" all of which say "go fuck yourself"
the full phrase was also very commonly displayed on billboards uncensored... there were a lot more important things to worry about other than keeping street ads appropriate lol
I feel like saying "idi nahui" lost all its offensiveness idk when I hear it I think of the meme 💀💀
I'm starting to get smile lines.
How lovely to have smiled so often that happiness permanently etches itself into your face
