as far as I know, he did join the junior team in 2014 but I could be wrong??? However, Daniel and Max did meet at the Red Bull Kart Fight (which is basically a tournament to determine the fastest amateur kart racer) in Zandvoort in 2011– Daniel, an RBR junior and F1 rookie, and Max one of the top karters at that time – which is why I think he was at that event.
