Latino street art should be considered an Intangible Cultural Heritage. At the same level of mongolian throat singing.
My grandma needed a cell phone holder, and...
Yeah...
Hello, my name is Saja from Gaza, I would like to inform you that my brother and I's previous campaign has been cancelled😭😭😭 I don't know why but I created a new campaign on Chuffed, please support me even if it's a small amount, I know that the beginning is difficult for everyone, and I feel frustrated because I will start from scratch again 😔, any donation you make will save my family and my son, please if you can try to save us!!!😭😢
The price of a bag of flour alone is about $600 due to the famine 💔 and the price of everything is several times its normal price. Please contribute as much as you can to the campaign. Unfortunately, we did not receive enough support 😭
✅️Vetted by @gazavetters, my number verified on the list is ( #299 )✅️
these things add up.
"At 21, Maria is a pharmacy student, dedicated to her studies despite the dire circumstances... [She] remains resolute in her pursuit of education and her determination to help her family recover from the devastation they have endured."
"I am afraid of losing my family. They are the light that leads me through my life. I cannot live or survive without them."
"I refuse to give up on my education and future. I believe knowledge is the key to rebuilding not only my life but also my community."
"All I hope for now is to reunite my family in Egypt and save them from the disastrous situation in which they are living…My father has high blood pressure and diabetes, and my Mother also has diabetes."
"Hello, my name is Ahmed, 19 years old from Gaza. I finished high school with a high average and a very good grade... I had dreams and ambitions to study photographic design, but I was deprived of all of that because of the genocide war on Gaza."
my love to these families, to ahmed aka 90-ghost and everyone else who helped verify these fundraisers, and to youssef elbelghiti for providing the photo. please note that my askbox is still closed while i catch up. i apologize and thank you for your patience!
In case anyone finds it helpful because mobility aids are horrifically expensive and inaccessible…
And for those people who have access to mobility devices but might benefit from a second chair they can abuse without risking expensive damage…
Erik Kondo has made a website, Open Source Innovations, that details plans for DIY wheelchairs. These wheelchairs can be made from common materials like wood, plastic, and pvc. They are lightweight and can be custom fit to the user allowing from the same degree of movement you would get from a custom chair. And they are durable and easily repairable. (he has been stress testing his latest design by dropping it down stairs, dropping it out of a car, launching it across a driveway, and throwing it off a deck). Its 12lbs and I think he said its was in the $200 ish range for parts.
He also is working on cheap, open source, accessible designs for beach chairs, off road chairs, motorized attachments (think smart drive), and so on. Plus he skateboards in his wheelchair. Cool dude, helpful info, pass it on.
