It’s a shame they’ve gone down that route with Robert and Aaron, after everything that’s happened.

Me too. i was truly disgusted by how Robert was treated. I really love Aaron, & I understand to a point, but. I’m still roiling!
Aww but did you notice in their first fight about the letter that Robert was just taking it and said sorry and that he understood. But at the scrapyard he had enough and spilled his guts. He is just so scared that Aaron would dump him. He has been working so hard. My poor bae :(
He really *is* so afraid that Aaron will dump him. He just wants to be around Aaron, and more than anything, he wants to be the person who can make Aaron happy. You know? He wants to be able to give that to Aaron, ahhh. What a sweetie baeeee, my gosh. I’m glad he spilled his guts, though. It’s so important to be forthcoming and honest about how you’re feeling in a relationship. I’m hoping that’ll continue into tomorrow & we’ll see some really emotional stuff between the boys & some bonding & love & apologising gahh
Where is the lie?? (via Danny millers insta story)
“You just shut your mouth for one minute. Let me say something, right? You are a disaster. You’re smug and you’re arrogant and cocky, you’ve got terrible taste in music and you dance worse than paddy and that’s saying something. But I’ve got nothing to figure out, okay?
I know you, I know exactly what I’m getting myself into. And you’ve tried so hard for me, for the people you love and not everybody sees that but I do.
You got me to talk about Gordon. Then you listened to me and you got me through the impossible.
Liv, Liv, my little sister, you found her. You found my little sister. You. And even though she drove you nuts and she reported you to the police, you took her in as if she was your own.
You saved my life. You got me out of that car in that water and you saved my life.
You planned this mental wedding. You built us a home and you got me out of prison early.
And then you told me the truth about Rebecca instead of trying to hide it.
And the you stepped up for your son and you fought for him and you loved him and you loved me. You loved me like nobody ever has before.
So, please, Robert… Will you… Will you just come home with me? And let me help you this time.”
Jenny, you are so great! I love all your stuff!
This feels a little irrelevant right now based on what I’m reading of the live blogging (haven’t watched the ep yet) but I made it anyway and I’m sure it will be applicable again in the future so… @stulot @memorieswarm
They didn’t even pretend to take it slow, they put their rings back on and robert got a key to the mill again and they’re sharing dinner and a bed tonight. They can’t keep away from each other for a second longer.
I agree. That’s why despite every bad thing that Robert did, like Victoria & Diane, I understood the “why”. I didn’t condone it. Jack really let Robert down when he prefered Andy to Robert. Robert was the INNOCENT party! Jack was wrong. Andy bullied Robert to impress his mates, even though it his friendship with Robert that got him his new home with Jack & family. I FULLY understand Robert’s feelings against Andy, too.
“You should go and see him. In the mortuary. (…) I’ve robbed you of your last chance to see him alive. You should go see for yourself that he’s gone. Say what needs saying and…I dunno know. It might help close stuff down for you. Draw a line under things.”
It broke my heart when Robert said those words. Not bc of Gordon. But bc of Robert and his troubled past with his dad Jack. Robert sort of got this sad, distant look in his eyes as he said those words to Aaron. Like, Robert was reminded of his own dad and how he too had been robbed of the chance to say goodbye to his father when he had been banished from the village.
Robert telling Aaron to go see Gordon in the mortuary, to say what he needed to get off his chest, it was as if Robert was drawing from his own experience when he went to Jack’s funeral. It was Robert’s way of trying to close down his issues with Jack, to draw a line under it - even if it deep down didn’t fully help bc he never got the chance to make amends with his dad, which in ways are still hunting him today. But he tried at least and to some extend it helped. And it was as if Robert was thinking of that when he tried to advice Aaron on what he should do. That he hoped in some way it would help Aaron to go see his dad one last time and it would bring some form closure to him like it did Robert.
To me it was such a precious moment and I really hope one day Robert feels comfortable enough to open up completely to Aaron and tell him all about his and Jack’s relationship and share that part of his life with his boyfriend too.
