For Robert, being treated like shite has been ever since Andy came into his life and was adopted. That’s why I understand the psychology of Robert. I know they love each other deeply. TOTALLY PISSED at today’s episodes. 

Your gifset of Aaron ignoring Robert/Robert being happy for Aaron made me so emotional???? Like, Robert is trying so hard. He puts himself out there for Aaron, gets rejected and puts himself out there again, immediately. He just lets it go and puts Aaron first. Like, all I want is for someone to put Robert first, for once, ya know? Anyway, Robert needs a million hugs.

Bc GOD Robert gets ignored and just LOOKED OVER, but he doesn’t hold resentment then, he just keeps it in and puts a genuine smile on his face because he’s SO happy to see Aaron happy after everything, whilst knowing deep down how annoyed Aaron is with him and how it’s gotta hurt having been called out but knowing he was wrong, but being GLANCED OVER when he wants to make it up to him.

But he doesn’t let that cloud his genuine happiness he feels for Aaron. 

GOD, WHEN does Robert get to be the centre of someone’s entire existence like that? When’s Robert gonna feel that insurmountable amount of love??? When’s he going to be hugged in a way to erase every bad feeling and feel safeguarded? When is Robert’s time gonna come????

Sorry to spew more negativity but... Vic gets less meaningful screentime than a casual market trader in Eastenders! I also think part of KO's failure today is an ageist thing. She really doesn't seem to respect some of the older, legendary characters. I remember reading about the Alan Turner actor feeling really let down when KO's came onboard. It's sad cos older ones make the community a real community and tie families together. Just look at Peggy's treatment in EE. KO's is rubbish at respect.

They are very tender and sweet together. There’s not a couple with more chemistry between them than Aaron & Robert.

I’m pretty sure Aaron had to stand on the tip of his toes to be able to reach up and wrap his arms around Robert’s neck for that hug…ugh I just live for their height difference it’s cute af!!!

I agree. I was thinking back through Robert’s life. It’s been really rare and LONG, LONG ago that he let his real feelings show...other than anger. Aaron is THE only person I’ve seen adult Robert let see the REAL Robert. That’s because only Vic & Diane even remember the real Robert besides Aaron. That’s why they love him. They know the good things in Robert. Aaron really is helping Robert to recapture that part of himself. I think of Robert’s other romances, especially Chrissy. He never ever convinced me that truly deeply loved anyone. When i see Robert look at Aaron, it’s plain that he not only loves Aaron deeply, but absolutely adores Aaron. Aaron really knows that, too. Aaron showed it tonight in what he said about what Robert would do for him. I doubt that too many people have anyone who loves them as deeply as Robert loves Aaron.

Aaaaah, I’m still waiting for a scene where Robert is … full on crying. LIKE FULL ON SOBBING, and Aaron comes and comforts him, and they have both, an out pour, and then it be heartfelt too. 

I just really need Aaron to be there for Robert. I need to see more of it. I think it’s something I will never tire of seeing, because Robert puts on this bravado of being so damn strong for everyone, and he isn’t. And I need to see him crack and to see Aaron be the one to see him in his fragments, see the other side to Robert.

And then comfort him, hold him. Oh god, yeah.

when this all comes boiling over and Rebecca is found to be the closet manipulator no one realized and they realize she’s been lying this whole time…. i want Aaron and Vic to go after her and go after her hard.  I want them to fight for Rob because he’s going to be devastated after getting attached to the idea of becoming of father to his own son and having it ripped from him.   I want them to fight for him, the same way he has ALWAYS fought for them….tooth and nail.   i want someone to fight for Robert Jacob Sugden and I want it to be the two people he loves the most.

Bet anything ED will keep Aaron single, No dating. No reference to being gay. In ED Rob within a short amount of time won’t be mentioned. Bex & Ross may be killed off, off screen, but ED won’t have another m/m couple. ED may give Seb to Aaron to raise  by himself.

No matter how many guys Aaron Dingle dates after Robert there is only one guy who will ever be both his first and second husband and his soulmate.

No one else comes close.
