Pottertalia

before I was a Hetalia blog I actually had a Harry Potter blog. I figure hey, why not take my in depth Harry Potter knowledge and apply it to Hetalia. So here is my sorting of The Baltic Trio+Poland (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia)

Poland- Ravenclaw: Now I thought about this one long and hard. I was shifting between Slytherin or Ravenclaw. But all and all I think Poland is a better fit for Ravenclaw. Poland always just sort of does his own thing. He wears what he wants and says what he wants. He really has no concern if someone is thinking poorly of him because he just doesn’t care. A Slytherin would care very much about the opinion of others but a Ravenclaw, now way! I think Poland would fit very well in Ravenclaw.

Lithuania- Hufflepuff: Now I can see him in all the houses to be completely honest with you, all except Ravenclaw, I don’t think he’d mesh well here. But all and all I placed him in Hufflepuff because during the soviet era he was always trying his best to keep the other soviets out of trouble with Russia. Then when he went to live with America he was happy to help out any way he could. Hufflepuffs are helpful and considerate, even when it’s not expected of them. They always think of others first. I did think about putting him in Gryffindor for a tiny second. But then I realized Hufflepuff is where he would be most comfortable.

Latvia- Ravenclaw: Yes the easy cop put would be Hufflepuff because he’s soft spoken but that’s not really what this sorting thing his about. Yes Latvia is afraid to speak his mind but nothing else about him would land him in Hufflepuff. He’s described as a hidden genius and at the same time he slacks off. This is so Ravenclaw. He’s also said to like reading poetry and romance novels. So we know he has a love for the arts. I think he’s very Ravenclaw.

Estonia- Slytherin: I wanted to put him in Ravenclaw but really I don’t think that’s entirely where he should go. Yes he’s said to be the smartest of the Baltic trio. But, he said that. That’s the kicker. See a Ravenclaw doesn’t go around telling you how smart they are, because they don’t care enough to brag about it. But a Slytherin would. He also says that he’s the luckiest of the three and manages to be in the right place at the right time to avoid Russia’s frustrations. Slytherins are very good at avoiding trouble. He’s also said to be very good with money. Another Slytherin trait. He’s very confidant in his knowledge and seems to give off the air that he’s the smartest person in the room, or at least thinks he is. This is what makes him a Slytherin.

Nordic patronuses? :)

We’ll also do a quick definition of what they stand for, for those who may not know them all off the top of their head, haha.

Norway: BlackbirdBlackbirds are mysterious and intuitive, appearing when needed most. Blackbirds keep their secrets and will protect yours fiercely. While they may not be the most ferocious protectors, they are one of the most mysterious and magical.

Iceland: Scops Owl These little owls are solitary creatures, preferring to be on their own. They like open space with plenty of room to stretch their wings. When threatened, they shrink themselves down to detract attention, avoiding confrontation.

Finland: DoeThe doe is fiercely protective of its loved ones, as displayed through its caring and nurturing nature. The doe is also representative of gentleness yet strong determination, and with its high level of intuition and sensitivity, it battles life’s challenges with the utmost grace and vigilance.

Sweden: Vulture Looming and dominant, the vulture, at its core, is a resource machine. It may seem intimidating and heartless, but in reality, it is a hyper-efficient beast that knows how to utilize even the barest of essentials.

Denmark: KingfisherThe kingfisher’s boldness in every aspect certainly doesn’t exclude its vivid, striking appearance. Filled with determination, kingfishers are willing to do anything to get what they deem necessary and in order to achieve their dreams, even if it may not seem like the best plan at the onset.

Pottertalia

before I was a Hetalia blog I actually had a Harry Potter blog. I figure hey, why not take my in depth Harry Potter knowledge and apply it to Hetalia. So here is my sorting of Nordics.

Sweden: Slytheirn. He was REALLY HARD. I had to think about this one for awhile actually. But he’s a Slytherin when you get right down to it. Much like another charter I’ll talk about on this post. His outward personality is much like a shell. He remains serous and stern and only reveals his true feelings to very close friends. Yet he’s also strong and fierce when he has to be. He won’t back down from a fight but he also would never just rush in without a plan.

Norway: Ravenclaw. Ive seen him in Slytheirn and I can see that. But Ultimately I placed him in Ravenclaw. I don’t think Norway would be happy with being a Slythern he’s too soft spoken. The main reason why he’s Ravenclaw is for his interest in the unknown. Ravenclaws are know for being excepting of all possibilities. Norway is typically off in his own world talking to his magical friends that only he can see and interact with. He’s reserved and more of a home body. This is a Raven claw to a T.

Finland: Hufflepuff. Of course he’s Hufflepuff. He’s the mom friend of the bunch. Honestly I don’t have to go into this one too much. He’s a Hufflepuff, it’s Finland for crying out loud.

Denmark: Gryffindor. Again another obvious pick. Denmark is loud, proud and everything that makes a good Gryffindor. He never backs down from a challenge even if he can’t win and the idea of danger thrills him. He stands up for his friends and is a major right fighter. Something tells me he’d make an excellent quidditch player as well. Maybe a beater…but that’s a different post…

Iceland: Slytherin. Now I didn’t put him here because he’s sassy. I put him here for why he’s sassy. He uses it as a front. As in that’s not his real personality. It’s a bit of a splash guard. If he pretends to be serious and cool no one will question him or pick on hi instead. Draco Malfoy used the same personality type. He pretended to be cool but was actually a giant nerd. (I’M NOT COMPAIRING HIM TO MALFOY’S ACTIONS! Just his personalty.) When he lets the mold break he shows us that he actually does care about his friends. But it’s his trope he’s adapted that lands him comfortably in Slytherin. I think he would like it there.
