I agree. With the live-action we're definitely gonna have a discourse around the race of plastic characters with people getting disappointed a certain character wasn't a said race.

It isn't impossible, we already had discourse around Cole's sexuality, so his race wouldn't be far-fetched to have a controversy about.

Sorry for being a downer, but i am scared for the ninjago live action movie, not because i care about the casting, but because i know it is going to upset people regardless. I’m afraid that the actors will receive unnecessary backlash for looking a certain way, which they literally cannot change

I know i’m being sensitive, but it’s kind of upsetting to see people get upset about the way the actors will hypothetically look.

I never got interested in it enough to like or dislike it. I went, as a scholarship kid, to two British "public schools" so I have a deep lack of interest in any school fiction that makes that kind of education seem anything other than monstrous and inhuman. (Honorable exceptions being Tom Brown's Schooldays and Stalky and Co, neither of which, I felt when I read them, romanticized the British boarding school experience.)

I have a small pet peeve with NDR and it's the fact P.I.X.A.L.'s eyes are WAAAAY too close it looks uncanny to me.

Please put some distance between the eyes, animators. Like you used to...
