We've started a nonprofit that attempts to counteract the mutually-destructive and emotionally harmful consequences of Knowing and Being Known by hermetically sealing the heartbroken in concrete prefabs and sequestering them at the bottom of the ocean

I am genuinely so worried for all the young horny dykes going into adulthood thinking there's something "problematic" / "wrong" with them for being horny because fucking tiktok lesbians think any horny dyke content is "male gaze fetishitic"
Saw someone pushing this concept that trans people have "unrealistic expectations" of transitioning because of anime and I ignored it cuz it's stupid racist horseshit but like, it's stuck in my head so I'm just gonna say this.
"TRAs want to be little anime girls so bad" is literally a weird ass online terf thing and this idea of random people who are typically pro trans saying that anime is creating unrealistic expectations of transition just feels like they had a terf phase but never unlearned the dumbassery. Trans people at large do not want to be anime characters and understand that those are not realistic characters they could ever achieve. Rather it's most likely Hollywood and American television pushing unrealistic beauty standards that create unrealistic expectations. And that's if you even believe that many people actually have those expectations.
It really just comes off as a deflection. Blame the thing it's ok to blame. It's the Japanese cartoon's fault. Obvi anime isn't perfect with the portrayal of bodies but also the majority of trans people are not expecting to transition into a high school shoujo protagonist. Go talk to real people for once.
