Instead of just looking up into the sky, you’re actually gazing down into the infinite cosmic abyss, with only gravity holding you onto the surface of the earth.

9 seasons, 195 episodes, 80 hugs, and thousands of tears later … it all began, September 13, 2005, with two brothers.
Sam: “I’ll tell you where he is but you have to go alone and you have to go as a friend.” Tony: “Easy.”
LISTEN THE FUCK UP. THIS IS ALL KINDS OF NOT OKAY. tony walks in there as a friend, he thinks he and steve are friends. he’s willing to put all the shit that’s happened over the past few days aside (HIS BEST FRIEND GETTING PARALYZED) because steve needs his help. cool. great. they’re friends.
and then what happens? he finds out that this so called friend had known how tony’s parents had died for over a year and decided not to tell tony because he wanted to ‘spare him’. give me a break. i do not blame tony at all for snapping at that point (easy). after all of cap’s talk of team work (like the old man said, together) about openness and honesty (sometimes my teammates don’t tell me things) here they are, steve hiding the truth about one of tony’s worst memories, half-heartedly still trying to defend his actions, just to protect the person who actually killed his parents.
steve ripped apart the avengers for bucky. steve broke away from his job, his government, his team for bucky (he’s my friend).
but he couldn’t even tell tony how his parents died.
so was i.
