Hi folks, Paul here. It’s early AM Tuesday EST; I’m in Raleigh for a visit with family, and I’ve spent a lot of time processing how to respond to the weekend’s tragedy in Charlottesville, VA.
Heather Heyers lost her life at the hands of a… madman, bigot, terrorist; these words all apply to her murderer. Speaking with the Huffington Post, her mother said:
I don’t want her death to be a focus for more hatred, I want her death to be a rallying cry for justice and equality and fairness and compassion.
As a big believer in all these things, I want to be clear: while this blog generally isn’t meant to be political, we wholeheartedly condemn Neo-Nazis and white supremacists.
It’s surreal to even have to say that. But given the weekend’s events, it’d feel wrong not to speak out about it.

Am I going too deep? I wish when I grew up people told me blunt truths straight through life. Santa isn’t real. It’s your parents giving you presents, you little shit. I remember once in 4rd grade I was thinking santa was real because the damn news was saying NOARD was tracking santa from Rudolph’s bright ass red nose.
lmao
